Full Description
We are Yorkshire wedding photographers, based in Pontefract and bringing our wedding photography services to couples throughout the UK. We love getting to know all our clients, which starts from the very first time we meet each other. The perfect collection of photos stems from your wedding photographers understanding your character and making this shine through your photos. This is where truly stunning, personal and beautiful shots originate. We make the time to get to know you and find out what you want from your wedding photographers. However, it’s equally important that you can get to know us! ILTO are multi-award-winning, Yorkshire wedding photographers offering premium photography in a natural style. Not just that, we pride ourselves on being “like friends with cameras” – as one of our clients called us! It’s one of the reasons our wedding photography stands out; your wedding guests warm to us and are happy to be photographed by us so we can create really natural and beautiful photos. How many wedding photographers do you know who would nip out to get Nan a new pair of tights as she’d laddered them? We’ve picked up the button holes, dropped off the bridesmaids, and even take the groom to the church! We go above and beyond to keep your day stress free and running as it’s supposed to. Yes, we’re there to take shots and always create a stunning collection, but if we can help out, we do without fail — just as your friends would. Our clients tell us that our work ethic, approach and attitude on the day is “a breath of fresh air” in the midst of the busyness. We don’t take control or interfere with your wedding, but take photographs of the events as they happen. It allows us to get natural shots filled with emotions and memories. No matter how many years later you’re looking back on your day, you’ll remember not just how you looked or what you did, but exactly how you felt. Get in touch with us today to book award-winning and friendly wedding photographers.

Paul is such a lovely...
Paul is such a lovely, professional, helpful man. He made such an incredible contribution to our special day without even realising it. From the minute he arrived he was calm & reassuring, chatty and such a laugh! Helping to assist the groomsmen with their flowers to rallying up guests for the wedding breakfast he was just second to none. Every single guest commented on what a fabulous photographer we had and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again for future events.

Paul...
Paul and Tim from ILTO were absolutely brilliant on our day and on our pre wedding photoshoot, words cannot describe how much they made the day for everyone that attended. This is a highly recommended photographer for any occasion and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for this service.

Paul was amazing...
Paul was amazing. His wife and he really got into the whole movie theme and understood clearly the sort of reportage style photos we wanted. The pictures of my niece Bella are amazing and will make excellent Christmas presents for my sister. We got the photos back really quickly and the movie style presentation that we were recommended to watch first was brilliant. I have, and will continue to recommend them to family and friends who are planning weddings.

What is your most memorable wedding?

Every wedding we've done is memorable! That's not a cliche answer, is true. Every wedding has the same components, but our clients, their family and their guests are always very different .... so each one is wonderfully different! Wedding's at the Deep inHull are always that extra bit special I suppose, as it's not every day you capture a shark in a group shot!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun. Natural. Personal. Creative. Memorable.

What about your business are you most proud of?

The fact that we provide the perfect and personal visual story from a major life event, that will be enjoyed by people far and wide for many years to come.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't waste money on "bits"! Nobody really knows what these "bits" are, but when friends ask how the wedding plannings going, and you reply with "it's pretty much done now, it's just bits!" .... STOP! You really don't need bits!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

As I've done nearly 200 weddings, picking out the best personal touch is impossible I'm afraid!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Listening and chatting. It's not about what I'm going to take or do on the day as such, it's more about what people have planned, and risking and managing their expectations. Listen to what the clients wants and expects, and perhaps more importantly, what they don't want!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A big group shot with everyone who's athlete wedding! I wouldn't be surprised if this answer catches you out, but there's a good reason for me saying this. For the sake of a few minutes to get a big group shot, it's worth it. At some point we all shuffle from this mortal coil, and although you may not think this kind of shot is important, when you lose people close to you over the years, it becomes an important one. I always say it's better to get the shot and not use if afterwards, rather than regret taking it in years to come when you lose al over one.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

It really wouldn't be appropriate to tell you ..... so let's move on eh! 🤣

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Go with it! There's nothing you can do, so just go with it. The wind cause more issues than the rain to be honest!

Describe how you got into photography.

After a heart attack and realising I needed to do something different and more rewarding with my life. I've not had a single regret in making that choice 9 years ago, and although I'll never be rich doing what I do, I am fulfilled and feel that I'm adding value to each and every wedding I've covered.
