Kathleen McCreesh Photography Full Description
Modern couples come with their own unique twists and photographic needs that aren’t necessarily catered for in the traditional packages anymore. So recently, I re-examined my whole pricing structure. I thought long and hard about what my brides and grooms usually ask for and then decided on ONE essential package that every couple should have for their wedding. Alongside the essential is also a whole range of other elements like albums, photo bundles and other products that can be combined to create your own perfect wedding photography package. Paying for Gary to tag along for example is so worth it if you have it in the budget. He is such an amazing second shooter to have in the background capturing candid photographs on the day. Click www.kathleenmccreesh/weddinginfo for details. I find being behind the camera is as essential to me as breathing. My favourite photographs of people are always those which show emotion and truth. I love capturing life as it happens and then creating scenes for those precious moments to occur. Posed or natural, over time I’ve noticed that my best photographs are those which make me feel something, even in a small, subtle way. With this in mind, true love is such a wonderful emotion to capture. I always feel lucky to observe loving, tender moments between my couples as often as I do. It is a precious gift you give to me by making me your photographer and why I enjoy wedding photography as much as I do. Capturing those special moments, your own windows back in time is my passion. To make sure that your memories shine brightly back at you from your own special days too. I live in the Moy with my partner Brendan, am based in Newry and I photograph weddings throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe. If you are getting married and are interested in my wedding photography packages please get in touch. Creating photographs both you and your family will look over and enjoy for many years to come would be a joy and my privilege.

What is your most memorable wedding?

An Italian Love Affair - Check the blog for details

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Colourful, Modern, Posed & Candid, True

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am still here, still photographing true love and still loving my career as much as I did on day 1 if not more.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Choose vendors you feel you could be friends with, people you are comfortable being around and don't be so focused on price that you miss out on quality - there is often a deal for a reason.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

There are always many when you look closely but my most memorable was a bride who made everything herself - cake, decor, stationary, favours etc and they were all stunning

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

That quiet moment for just you two - it's wonderful when you make time to let us capture you both taking a precious moment to just enjoy your day and realise that you are now husband and wife ♥

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Imagine a breath taking Italian vista, a mountain side view of the village you got married in, a convertible with the top down on a sunny day, a head scarf around the bride's hair like Audrey Hepburn and a dress that was just made for twirling!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Every couple dreams of a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the outdoors in as much as the photographer but Irish weather is not always so obliging :) If it's just showers we will look out for the precious breaks in rain and if it's light drizzle, well that is what cute and quirky umbrellas are just calling out for! Sometimes heavy rain is that and that's then we'll take advantage of the beautiful venue you have chosen for your wedding day but whatever comes your way, just go for it and enjoy your day! ♥

Describe how you got into photography.

How did it all start? Well my mum was an avid amateur photographer and photographed everyone in the family over and over again. I saw the world through her eyes when I looked at the photographs she had on the wall. She captured our lives for us and we treasured those moments even more because we could see them. Photographs are like windows into the past and for me that’s where the magic lies. Great photography is a wonderful gift to future generations. It was those years spent looking at my mother’s photographs that first sparked my own interest in photography. Mum was very much drawn to family portraiture and my Dad inspired my love of landscapes as he sees the beauty in everything outdoors.
