What is your most memorable wedding?
I don't have one specific memorable wedding, but rather a few memorable things from a few weddings. One wedding I had hired a double decker red bus which took us through London to a restaurant with Tower Bridge in the background. Another Wedding in Surrey was in February and it was a beautiful Winter's Day with the most gorgeous, dreamy afternoon light. Perfect for romantic bride and groom shoots. Another Wedding, we did the Bride and Groom shots at a beautiful park in Hemel Hempstead - the light was amazing, the leaves were turning golden and the images were just amazing. The sunset was like something out of Africa. I could go on and on because every wedding is special and every wedding has something that is specifically memorable.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Light, dreamy, creative, documentary and clean.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Being able to give my clients the style of images they want - happy clients at the end of the day makes my job complete.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't stress - if something goes wrong with a supplier either before or on the day, you have so many friends, family members and other suppliers that are more than willing to help and make your day perfect. Don't be afraid to delegate or ask someone for help.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A couple's dog ("baby") as the ring bearer. So much emotion!!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I email information across to the couple first. If they are happy with my pricing and my style of images, I then send them a contract and an invoice for the deposit.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
First Kiss
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
An indoor location possibly with some winding stairs, an interesting window or decor item, a stylish chair and some off camera flash (which I will supply). Alternatively if the bridal couple wanted, we could enlist some groomsmen to hold up umbrellas while we got a few shots of the bridal couple outdoors, if the background was particularly impressive. And if there was any outdoor cover e.g. a gondola, that would work too.
