What is your most memorable wedding?
My first wedding will probably always be my most memorable, simply because it was the first wedding I ever photographed. I was nervous, I felt the weight of responsibility, but I managed to get through the day and produce what I felt to be a strong set of images. Of course I still feel that weight of responsibility to this day, but that’s a good thing, because it makes me realise that I regard every wedding to be just as important as that first one.

I will always try to go that extra mile in order to provide my couples with the best service possible, together with the images they were hoping for.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Naturally you will want to choose a photographer who captures the photographic style you want and at the right price to suit your budget. But it’s equally important to choose one that you feel relaxed with. After all, your photographer is one of the few suppliers you will be spending much of your wedding day in the company of.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Probably the heart-shaped group shot. Perhaps it’s not overly original, but on the strength of how well the shot came out, with it’s virtually perfect heart shape, I would consider it to be fairly unique at the very least.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A brolly and some Wellington boots! Braving the wet weather, even just for a few minutes, can provide some very memorable photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
Without a doubt, my initial interest in photography came from my dad. He was always a keen photographer from as far back as I can remember. Thousands of shots were captured on transparency film, forming most of my childhood memories. So I was over the moon when, at the age of just 10 years old, I was given my very first camera: a Kodak Pocket Instamatic 100...
