- I have over 15 years experience in photographing weddings and work full time as a professional photographer. My style leans more to relaxed and natural posing with a few family groups on request, mixed in with informal shots of you and your guests as you enjoy your day. Getting to know my couples on the run up to the day allows me to fit in and capture your wedding day in a fun and relaxed way. All my couples are offered the chance to have a pre-wedding shoot on the run up to the wedding, giving you the chance to get used to being in front of the camera and so we can all get to know each other a little better and I find this results in much more natural pictures of the two of you being caught on the day itself. I aim to capture your day as it happens and work as unobtrusively as possible allowing you both to enjoy the day and chat with friends and family, with a few minutes here and there throughout the day to get some beautiful pictures of the two of you for your album and wall. I work across the country on request although the majority of my work is based in the North West. I offer packages both with or without an album, however personally I feel that an album completes your wedding day and pictures should be viewed in print format rather than on a screen - but the choice is yours. In addition to my set packages I also offer a bespoke service allowing me to create a package to suit your requirements after a no obligation consultation at your home or another mutually convenient location. The one piece of advice I can offer to anyone choosing their photographer is to make sure you meet with the person before booking, after all we will be together for many hours on one of the most emotionally charged and special days of your lives - you don't want to have a clash of personalities on the day, and dislike the person taking your pictures.

What is your most memorable wedding?
I remember every couple and their weddings. Some jump out more than others but I tend to find the most memorable ones are those with couples and guests who just got on with enjoying the day regardless of the weather. I remember weddings where I found myself taking informal photos and seeing smiles everywhere I turned. Love it when the dance floor gets packed and everyone is having a great time. Think the main thing that makes a wedding memorable to me is when a couple allow time for pictures of the two of them and are up for fun.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, fun, relaxed, romantic, colourful
What about your business are you most proud of?
I love the fact that my couples still talk about my photos years later, they use them for social media profiles, leave me lovely reviews, come back to me when their first baby is born and I get to see their families grow.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have a pre wedding photoshoot if you are nervous about photos. It will help you get used to being infront of the camera, get to know your photographer better and you really will be more relaxed and natural on your wedding day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
There's so many! I love little handmade touches that the couple and family/friends have done for the day. If you have creative friends and relatives get them involved - it could save a fortune and the touches will be more personal than just ordering from a catalogue.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I don't think there is a number one photo. Your day should be personal to you, why do you need to get a photo every other couple has? Every wedding and couple is different so just relax and be yourselves.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Bring the wellies and umbrellas - make the most of it.
Describe how you got into photography.
In 2000 I answered an advert for a studio looking for a wedding photographer and they were willing to take a trainee. It built up from there, I moved to a full time post at a second studio a couple of years later and then I set up my own business which I absolutely love.
