Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
free, natural, intuitive, truthful, beautiful
What about your business are you most proud of?
Our consistent delivery of great work to happy couples, along with a continuing desire to transform our working practices, utilising the latest technology to improve our products as well as our client experience.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Hire a photographer who acts more as a consultant, showing expertise in the field as well as providing a valuable insight into anticipating and anticipating problems. Such experience will always lead to a trouble free experience, along with imagery that you value, having captured the vision you really had for your day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Beautiful hand painted signage at a wedding describing how the couple met - at a friends wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After the initial enquiry, we invite couples into our office for a consultation. It gives us the chance to connect and understand their vision for the day along with explaining how we can assist in making it happen. Collections are discussed and upon booking we then implement a rigid client care workflow. This entails regular contact, gathering all the vital suppliers information, possible venue visits, along with a timeline walk through over Skype. Come the wedding day we are fully briefed and both our team and the couple know exactly what will happen and how we will work to capture it all.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
We see every couple as unique, so there is no photo we or they have to have. We know and understand every element so capturing the flow of the day is second nature. If we had to name one photo NOT needed - it would be of the wedding rings. Why photograph an inanimate object that should be on your hand for the rest of your life? Better to capture real people and real emotions!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
If they are asking - they have seen it somewhere before - so no originality there! Originality comes from freedom and spontaneity.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas!
