What is your most memorable wedding?
I love it when couples exchange personal gifts during prep time, usually accompanied by a note of support or a declaration of love. It connects the couple before they see each other at the service.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Without a doubt the magical photographic ingredient for a wedding is laughter! It is a great way for someone to connect the image they see to the emotion of the day.
What about your business are you most proud of?
My number 1 tip is simply to relax and enjoy your day. The most important part is celebrating your union in the company of family and friends. Everything else will take care of itself!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I always recommend the couple to bring some white umbrellas 'just in case'. They provide an opportunity for some dramatic backlit rain shots. Also for a bride to bring some flat shoes in case of slippery grass!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I recently had a couple who were animal lovers and they organised a petting zoo. My bride and groom were posed with Burmese Pythons and Tarantulas!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Photography has been in my bloodstream for as long as I can remember. My hands-on introduction was in 1985 when I was given a film SLR camera and built a darkroom where I learned my craft. Technology has changed a lot since but the passion remains.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A young couple who were nervous about their first dance - little did we know that they had rehearsed and choreographed a full dance montage that brought roars of approval from their guests
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Always arrange a pre-wedding meeting. Get to know the prospective couple, how they work, their hopes and fears. Suggest a pre-wedding shoot if they are nervous about being photographed. Ask them for their thoughts about the venue before our site visit. Report back on findings and potential issues. Final check in before their wedding day to ensure everything is planned as they want.

Friendly, Courteous, Fun, Creative, Personable
Describe how you got into photography.
Put simply, I'm most proud of the reactions I get from my couples when they see my images - tears of joy and plenty of smiles
