Reportage / Documentary
Telling stories through the lens of my camera is my passion, add this to being the hopeless romantic that I am and you can understand how much I value and enjoy my job as a wedding photographer. I chose to start photographing weddings 6 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I feel that a wedding is such a special moment in a couples life, one which I always feel extremely privileged to be a part of. I have a gentle approach when capturing a wedding day, staying behind the scenes and creatively documenting without being an obstruction. I strive to go beyond simply capturing the essential wedding pictures, believing in the value of those often missed intricate moments. I also love to have a bloody good time.

What is your most memorable wedding?
The people are the best part about all my weddings! So I couldn't pick one!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, natural, documentary, fun, romantic.
What about your business are you most proud of?
How much I have grown in the last couple of years!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Lots of flowers!! Never too many flowers!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Handwritten cards as favours, left of each guests place setting. Lots of the guests were in tears.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I always suggest a meeting over coffee or a Skype chat prior to booking so we can chat more about my process then!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I think the Bride and Groom portraits are really important, and couples should make sure they allow enough time for this :)
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Too many funny requests!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Lots of brollies! I am always up for a challenge, and rain can be worked around. If the forecast looks particularly dodgy I suggest bulk buying some white umbrellas from Ebay! I would definitely pay attention to the indoor space when choosing a venue, make sure you like the backup plan for it it plans.
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always taken lots of photos but I really got into photography at college. I did a fashion photography course which I loved, and it taught me so much. I then went on to study Photography at uni, and looked at more as an art form. Weddings came after that :)
