Maria Brosnan Full Description
It's not all about the photos but you'll be all dressed up, with your loved ones around you, having a great time marrying your best friend. These photos will be on your mantlepiece, on your wall, in your husband or wife's wallet, in their phones as their screensaver and in albums for family to gather around and laugh about what hair looked like in 2016. If my wedding gallery has caught your eye, drop me an email with your date and a little description and I'll get back to you with my pricing structure and some links and passwords for full albums for you to have a clear idea of what you'd be getting. My photography can be a little 'marmite' so have a good look through the galleries to see if it's for you. Once you've decided, get back in touch and we'll sort out the rest! I offer USB packages, prints, albums and thank you cards. Look forward to hearing from you!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your most memorable wedding?

A beautiful wedding at the RAF museum in London. It rained ALL day but the museum was such a fun place to run around and take pictures we had a great time, and got some pictures that you wouldn't normally find in a wedding album.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Quiet, calm, happy, natural, flattering.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Recently someone said to me 'the reason you know what your great-grandparents look like is probably their wedding picture'. The idea that someone is going to look at my pictures to see how people look and feel now in 50 years time makes me really proud.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Hire me? ;) Probably learn how to say no. There's a lot of noise out there and you can get carried away with the things you're 'supposed' to have. Just do what's right for you as a couple.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I'm always a sucker for the 'something old', there's always a lovely story behind it.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

They see my pictures, read how I work, email me, I check I'm free, they get a contract, pay a deposit. A month before the wedding I send them an info sheet to fill out, we have a meeting (at the venue if appropriate), we go to the rehearsal together, I photograph from bridal prep to the first few dances, the next day I send one photo for them to share if they like, they get a USB and online gallery around 5 weeks after the wedding, they can order prints or an album from me or arrange their own. PHEW!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Every couple is different but definitely one of them both looking really happy that they can imagine on their mantlepiece for the next 50 years.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

a bride tucking into a massive meal, people are usually a little shy about 'eating' pictures!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

kirby grips, smiles.

Describe how you got into photography.

My Dad always had chunky 35mm SLRs so that's just how we took pictures. I've put a lot of effort into it since then though!
