- Hi, I'm Matthew, a wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer based near Tring on the Hertfordshire - Buckinghamshire border. You may be wondering if I am the right photographer for you. Well, you can tell a lot about how I approach photography from my images - they’re vibrant, relaxed, fun, and about showing connections between people in love and their loved ones. If I had to describe my style I would say it is 'creative reportage' - a blend of documentary and contemporary portrait photography. In the end, though, what you see is what you get! So if you love what you see on here, please take a look through my website for more galleries and information on my packages. I am available to travel throughout the UK, and also undertake a small number of overseas weddings each year.

What is your most memorable wedding?
I was lucky enough to photograph a wedding at the Tower of London. From the bride getting ready at Anne Boleyn's house, the procession of the bride and groom by the Yeoman Guards (Beefeaters) through the on-looking tourists, and our own private photoshoot in the grounds when the Tower closed for the day - made it a rather memorable day!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
vibrant, timeless, classic, modern, beautiful
What about your business are you most proud of?
The rapport I build with my couples. I want to give you an fantastic experience from start to finish!
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Wedding styling has changed a lot the past few years. Couples are re-inventing wedding styling and finding news ways to do almost everything - it is a very exciting time! Wedding trends are not driven by the industry suppliers but by real couples and real weddings who have followed their ideas and personalised the day exactly how they want. So my advice is along those lines - make the day personal to you, you don't have to be dictated by old traditions - the rules are changing - it's time for new traditions, ideas and trends to evolve.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
We live in the UK. It often rains, and I have photographed many weddings where is has rained all day or for part of the day. It's hard not to get a little obsessed with the weather in this country, particularly when your wedding day approaches! But rest assured, it will not dampen your day but add to the memory of it. Your family and friends are their to celebrate you as a couple and nothing will change that. Bring some umbrellas (and wellies if you want!) and we'll make the most of it, or we'll create some beautiful portraits indoors instead. Either way, I'll worry about the photography and you can get on with having the best day of your lives :)
