Wedding Photography (Coventry based wedding photographer) - As a Leica wedding photographer / film wedding photographer, I capture the magic of your wedding day as it unfolds in a relaxed and calm manner and with minimal disruption. I enjoy catching candid smiles and laughter but also those little details that you spent hours preparing. With a fashion photography/ portraiture background I help you create natural yet stunning wedding portraits with minimal fuss. Photography is my passion and I my life is now devoted to producing the most beautiful images I can create or helping others through teaching photography workshops. I get as excited about your wedding as you and strive to produce the best possible wedding photos for you and for me.
Black & White Wedding Photography - B&W photography is a style close to my heart placing more emphasis on light, textures and form. B&W photos let you focus on a smile or special moment without the distraction of colours. I offer a B&W wedding photography package (with colour group photos) at a discounted price and that includes the option to buy any of the monchrome images in colour after the wedding day.
Wedding Film Photography - In 2015 I started to specialise in analogue film photography with Leica and Hasselblad cameras whether for model photography or wedding photos. A photo shot on film which I then hand develop and scan to digital format it is 1000x more special that a digital image. As such like to offer couples the option to have part or all of their wedding shot using analogue film cameras. Please ask when booking for more details.
Photography Style - I don't have the full auto / cruise control button on my cameras to press at the start of a wedding day like many pro wedding photographers these days. Instead I prefer to control how each image will look manually and as such I hope my pictures appear a little different to the masses.
Personal Message from the Manager
Name of Wedding Contact: Matthew Osborne
Hello, thanks for visiting my profile! As much as every wedding photographer probably appears the same I try to be different. I use quirky camera equipment whether analogue film cameras or Leica digital, and don't rely on wedding photography for an income. Capturing beautiful photos is what I enjoy most, whether a bride or fashion model, a wedding bouquet or rose, I just like making nice pictures.

What is your most memorable wedding?
In the UK perhaps a summer vintage styled wedding with two amazing VW camper vans and overseas a wedding I covered in Florida shot under palm trees
I get to travel overseas frequently for photography and have attracted clients as far as America and Alaska
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
For wedding photos the more you put in the more you will get out of it. The more dramatic the choice of wedding venue and the more time taken over the finer details together with allocating sufficient time for for stylised wedding portraits all add up to even more beautiful wedding photos.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I like to offer couples film photography images to give them something different to the mass wedding market. I can create completely unique looking one off images if I am given the oppotunity to do so.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Meet the couple for a pre-wedding consultation (if viable depending on the wedding location) and once a booking is confirmed draft a wedding contract we are both happy with. Meet again (ideally) before the wedding for a pre-wedding photoshoot and to get to know each other. You get to see me and my array of quirky cameras at work and the resulting images which can be used for wedding stationary (if booked early enough before the wedding). Arrive early on the wedding day and document the event as it unfolds. Edit the digital photos after the event and hand develop the analogue film images before scanning to convert the film into digital format to add to the USB pen drive to send.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Let me use my model photography background and high end analogue film cameras to take a series of natural relaxed looking timeless wedding portraits lit beautifully.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I try to make my wedding photos look non-mainstream by using various vintage and/ or quirky cameras. The sky is really the limit. I have the cameras and knowledge if you allow me the time to create.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Always have a plan B and indoor location in mind for group photos if it were to rain
Describe how you got into photography.
I am self taught after an ex-girlfriend bought me a cheap point and shoot camera for Christmas. I now teach photography around the world on request and regularly travel for photoshoots overseas. I enjoy using film cameras where possible and hand develop my own film negatives. Photography is now my life and I continue to learn and develop and am working towards specialising in film only photography. I often service a niche wedding photography market for couples especially interested in photos taken with a Leica camera and/ or analogue film cameras including brands such as Hasselblad. I do provide wedding photography for couple only interested in the final photos but it is particularly nice to cover a wedding where the couple shares the same love for film or Leica cameras.
