Full Description
To me, weddings are about people. It’s about the laughter, the tears, the fleeting glances and everything in between. My approach captures the heightened emotions and the tiny missed moments. I look to accentuate the ordinary and delve into the true connections. My photography captures your wedding without the cheesy poses. I promise you – no posing and no set up shots, absolutely no cheese. All you and your guests need to do is be yourselves – celebrate and enjoy every minute. I’ll be unobtrusively shooting the little details that set the scene of your wedding day. On the day, I’ll be there from morning 'til midnight if you want me to be. There are no fixed times. I sincerely love what I do and I’m not concerned with how long it takes. My goal is to tell the whole story of your wedding day and how it felt to be there.

Wow!!!
Wow!!!  Thank you so so much!  The photos are absolutely amazing and we spent a good couple of hours last night watching them on the tv and have let some friends and family have a look too; 10s 10s 10s across the board!!! You really have captured some epic moments from the wedding and we just know that we’ll always enjoy looking at these snapshots of the day.  What you do is incredible. Having you join us for the wedding was definitely one of the best choices we made for the day. You were so much fun to have around and interacted with the other guests in such a natural and easy way that everyone was relaxed!

We were amazed!
We love the photos, which aren’t rigidly posed, but capture us interacting honestly. You can see the genuine happiness there. We also love the photos of our friends & family enjoying the day with each other, so we can clearly see that everyone had a good time – sometimes we weren’t really aware of what was going on around us and these photos are memories and reminders of the whole weekend experience. We were amazed! We had already seen some snaps some of the guests had taken, but Mike’s photos were in a completely different league and captured the atmosphere, the emotion and the look of the whole wedding perfectly

FAQ

What is your most memorable wedding?

I remember every wedding I've shot. They're all different & they have all been memorable for different reasons.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Unposed, candid, natural, relaxed, storytelling

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Dont sweat the small stuff, just relax and enjoy the day.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I reply to the initial enquiry and schedule a time for a phone call to talk further, to find out if what I do is what the couple wants, from there if the couple likes what I do I send them a contract and request a booking fee which closes the date off in my diary. From that point until the wedding day I am available for telephone / email consultations whenever the couple needs me. The wedding day arrives and afterwards, within 4 weeks I deliver the digital images in an online gallery and on a USB stick.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

There is no specific image that every couple should take. Every wedding and every couple is different, my pictures are not taken from a template of what a wedding should like like, they reflect the couple.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I dont get asked to take specific pictures at a wedding. My couples trust in me to deliver a collection of images that will remind them of what the day felt like to be there.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

My advice to all couples is to not fret about anything. Things go wrong, it rains, buttonholes get left at home. None of it matters. The day is about the wedding and the celebration, nothing can affect that.

Describe how you got into photography.

The same as a million photographers the world over I was given a camera as a youngster and something clicked. I have been making pictures ever since.
