Every photograph was beautiful and full of joy and
Nicola is an amazing photographer, we choose Nicola as my wife wanted someone who could make her feel at ease. Nicolas eye for detail and capturing the essence of our wedding day was amazing. Every photograph was beautiful and full of joy and love. Thank you Nicola from us both for helping make our day so special. Roy & Ishbel

Our wedding pictures are beyond anything we could have dreamed of. I actually love a picture of myself for the first time in my life.
I had dreams of what my wedding pic's should look like, had prowled Pinterest and google and hoped I could find a photographer to bring this vision to life, How lucky, or was it fate? that I spotted Nicola Mackintosh Photography online. She only had a couple of shots up, but for me I could see her style was right up my street. The second you meet Nicola you will know what I mean when I say, if anyone can be trusted to capture your day, your way, she is your lady. A beautiful, gentle soul dedicated to using her art form to capture your most special moments and her nature to make sure you feel at ease. I honestly can't recommend Nicola any higher. Our wedding pictures are beyond anything we could have dreamed of. I actually love a picture of myself for the first time in my life. I will post a few pics to show how utterly brilliant she is, Nicola even managed to completely surprise us with a whole album of shots with all the children, (who would not join us for any portraits) these are my favorite pics of the whole day, I had no idea any of this was going on, without Nicola I would have missed these treasured moments. Thank you, Nicola Mackintosh Photography. The McCormicks, 29th Aug 2015"

The quality of our photographs is outstanding
It has taken me 6 months to get round to writing this but better late than never! Nicola photographed our wedding in August and we absolutely love her work. The quality of our photographs is outstanding, the attention to detail and her ability to capture many of the day's special moments without us even being aware of being photographed has resulted in beautiful photographs that we will treasure forever.

FAQ

What is your most memorable wedding?

My clients reactions when they receive their wedding photographs.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

My first wedding planning tip for couples is to ensure to allow ample time in your schedule for your bride/groom and couple portraits. You should work with your photographer as early in the process as possible to make the most of your time on your wedding day and avoid time constraints on your first photoshoot as a married couple!

What about your business are you most proud of?

I can't remember ever not being fascinated with photography - my intrigue began a very long time ago and my favoured Nikon DF rarely leaves my side. The first wedding I ever photographed, I agreed to shoot very reluctantly, at the request of a friend. I understood that capturing a wedding properly was a huge responsibility and one that really challenges all of the skills of any good photographer. I soon discovered that this challenge, while demanding in a variety of ways, was incredibly satisfying. I love to see my clients so delighted with their wedding albums and find that the creative possibilities are endless. The creative process, as well as meeting and working with so many interesting couples then delivering photography that they adore, is what motivates me.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Romantic, cinematic, natural, fine art, modern.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Every wedding I shoot is memorable in it's own way and no two are the same but one that comes to mind was in a hand crafted treehouse by a beautiful Scottish loch on a summer's day.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I shoot Scottish weddings and I am always prepared for four seasons in one day! I absolutely love the dramatic and moody skies, reflections and soft light that rain showers and heavy clouds add. Of course, weather-proof locations for the portraiture are also confirmed in advance.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

An unforgettable couple portrait.
