- Hi, I’m Nisha, an award-winning creative documentary wedding photographer based in Southampton. I love using natural light to capture soft intimate moments that are beautiful, romantic and fun. I like to photograph in an unobtrusive and friendly manner and take this approach from your fabulous Engagement Session to your wedding day. My style is mixing candid documentary imagery as well as composing a few gorgeous bride & groom photos that look amazing printed in a wedding album or delicately framed. I’ve recently won UK Freelancer of the Year Award from IPSE and am currently semi-finalist for the Hampshire Venus Awards for Customer Service. It’s an honour to be recognised nationally & regionally a Weddings bursting with colour, laughter and individual quirks that make it that extra bit special, are awesome. I’d be delighted and honoured to capture your special day. Please get in touch and let’s make beautiful images together. Nisha

What about your business are you most proud of?
Being awarded UK Freelancer of the Year Aspire 2017 after 2 years of running my business part-time. I'm now full-time with my business having made the plunge 2 months after winning the award. It's amazing to dedicate my full passion and time to what I love doing, documenting weddings!
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Getting to know your photographer as much as you can as it's really a collaborative process in getting the best photos from your day. It really makes a difference if you fully trust your photographer and believe they'll produce amazing photos from your wedding to last a lifetime.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First - send an enquiry to see if I'm available on your date Second - email exchange about your wedding details e.g venue, plans for the day, packages Third - consultation in person to get to know each other and view recent wedding examples in print Fourth - if you would like to book me for your wedding, a contract & deposit will be needed to secure your date Fifth - we will either arrange/shoot your Engagement Session (if you have booked one) Sixth - a month before your wedding date, final balance is due Seventh - it would be good to arrange a meet up at your wedding venue close to your wedding date to go over your timeline and plans for the day Eighth - Your wedding day! Ninth - Sneak peek previews are sent within a week online Tenth - 4-8 weeks after your wedding you will receive your full wedding gallery online Eleventh - You will receive your USB/albums etc. if you have ordered extras in your package
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
There are so many great moments to capture on the day... but if you're considering a confetti shot, do it! It's a fantastic way to capture the laughter, fun, happiness and get all your guests involved to celebrate!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
An owl flying in towards the groom as the ring bearer in mid-flight with his full wing-span to wow the guests at lightening speed!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I do have a transparent umbrella I carry with me if you wanted to brave the rain for some bride & groom portraits in the rain - it create a great atmosphere for rainy wedding shots!
Describe how you got into photography.
I was interested in photography aged 13 when I got my first digital camera. I enjoyed the social aspect the camera offered and that really influenced me. I felt people came together for a photo and I wanted that moment to be captured. Ever since I've always loved taking portraits and loved the atmosphere at events - wedding photography was the answer as it fulfilled everything I love about photography!
