Frequently Asked Questions
(10)

What is your most memorable wedding?

Every wedding is memorable for me. I have been married for 14 years and I remember every moment of my fabulous day. I still get a little teary-eyed when vows are exchanged and the couple have their first dance. I know how much effort has been put into the plans for each wedding and I ensure that the day is recorded forever in every way.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Professional, Candid, Reportage, Modern, Awesome!

What about your business are you most proud of?

The wonderful comments I receive after a wedding from the bride, groom and family. I always have a great time at weddings (I love them!) and knowing that I've been able to document the day for the couple to enjoy for a lifetime is a great feeling.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't settle for second best, make enquiries with as many companies as possible, ask as many questions as you can, and then hire me as your wedding photographer.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Every wedding is personal to those involved but my favourite part is when the groom sees the bride for the first time. It always brings a lump to my throat.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

There's no process, a process seems quite cold and takes an edge away from the documentary style of photography that I provide. I keep it as natural as possible so that you can enjoy your day and I can capture all of the special moments.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The confetti walk. I'm always amazed by the wide range of facial expressions you get when couples get covered in confetti.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I haven't yet had any unusual requests but rest assured that virtually everything can be accommodated, unless you have a pet spider. I might struggle with that one, sorry!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas!

Describe how you got into photography.

I started playing around with cameras on my honeymoon in 2008 and found that the interaction between a camera and a subject can be completely captivating. What better place to create many wonderful moments of human interaction than a wedding, the happiest day of peoples lives and an opportunity to take some truly memorable photographs.
