Full Description
  • Professional, qualified female photographer capturing your wedding day in an unobtrusive documentary/reportage style including romantic natural bride and groom photos and group shots. Specialising in taking photographs for couples who may be a little camera shy, I pride myself in making you feel relaxed in front of the camera telling the story of your day. Instead of overly posed and staged bride and groom photos I capture you going for a relaxed, romantic walk on your wedding day. With many years experience I provide a professional yet personal service.

Ask a question
What is your most memorable wedding?
All of them. Everyone is unique.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, documentary, reportage, artistic, discreet
What about your business are you most proud of?
Having so many happy couples recommend my services.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Style your wedding day the way you want it, not what relatives or friends have told you to do.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Individual, personal messages to each guest placed on the tables thanking them for all they have done for the couple.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Following the initial consultation and booking, I arrange to meet with you both at the venue a few weeks before the big day. This meeting is so important. It gives us all a chance to get to know each other and for you to feel comfortable with me, the camera and how I will work on the day. So important for the bride if I am to be with her in the morning. We talk about timings, family dynamic, guests with special needs, group photos and so on. We look at locations for your bride and groom photos and I suggest a few things that work well in photos. This ensures that on the day I can be unobtrusive and you can enjoy your day including a quiet walk around the grounds with me some distance away with my big lens capturing some precious moments alone.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Photos of the couple alone. The day is such a whirlwind and apart from during the ceremony, when you are eating and during the first dance you won't spend much time together.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
As my style is documentary, couples want me to capture the natural, unique, wonderful moments that happen all day.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I have a white wedding brolly with me but please feel free to bring your own. Plus wellies! If you really don't want to go outside there will be a fabulous location inside a venue for bride and groom and group photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
I have loved photography since I was given my first camera when I was about six. When I finished school I studied photography full time for three years. I worked in a commercial studio for a few years and at a University and then created Parkwin Photography in 2008.
