I provide wedding photography in Brighton, Sussex, London and the South using a creative and fun approach, to help you feel relaxed whilst being photographed. I'm also more than happy to travel further to any part of the UK and beyond! I like to be very subtle and discreet, capturing things as they happen throughout the day and blending into the wedding itself. I’ll take you away for a few minutes just to get that ‘money’ shot of you both together too, when the light is perfect and using the beautiful surroundings you’ve chosen for your wedding. Everything is very informal and I won’t order you around or pose you like a supermodel. You just do your own thing and enjoy each other’s company; it’s important for me that you feel relaxed and happy in your photographs and everything feels natural. I photograph using natural light wherever possible, but I also use flash and studio lighting where necessary to ensure excellent exposure as well as for capturing shots later in the evening and the first dance. I love amazing light, but I also like working in wet weather. In the event that it does rain we can either do some shots inside or, if you’re happy to brave the elements we can try something really special! I also like wearing suits and dressing up for big occasions, so I’ll always be dressed appropriately for your wedding. I shoot a mixture of reportage and editorial photography, but I’m happy for you to take a creative lead when you want to, and we’ll work together to create images you’ll love that will make you smile for years to come. I don’t mind lining up the family for some more formal shots too and will capture all the details of your big day whilst you spend time with your guests and loved ones. When you look at your photographs when you’re old and grey, or with your children or grandchildren, I want the pictures to remind you what the day looked like, but also remind you how it felt to tie the knot with that special someone.

Beautiful, relaxed, informal, creative, intimate

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Consider your timing when it comes to fitting photography into your day, it takes longer than you might think but can be very easy to integrate if you know what you're doing!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
When someone had a can of Orangeboom lager as wedding favours as it was the Father of the Bride's favourite beer and he had sadly recently passed away. They were to be opened in a special toast to absent friends, very touching.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Before the wedding Formalise your booking with a deposit and signing of the contract, which will outline payment schedule and terms. Send me as much information and visual details about your wedding, how will it look, what are you planning; tell me everything that will happen and I’ll capture it on the day. I’ll look at photos of your venue and plan where we’ll do the key photographs of the day, or alternatively we can meet there to discuss how things will happen on the day. On the day On the wedding day I’ll arrive at the time requested, keep everybody happy and smiling, photograph candid and formal shots as you like and shoot until you’re happy everything is covered. We'll get some great photos of you both on your wedding day along with covering all the details, guests and dancing until the time I'm booked until. Whilst you're on Honeymoon... A few sneak-peek photos will be put onto the blog (unless you’d rather they weren’t) within a week of the wedding. All photographs will be cropped, adjusted for colour or black & white, and adjusted for optimal tones and contrast and then finally processed into full resolution JPEG files. Photographs will be delivered to your home address within four weeks of the wedding date and released online as a website gallery pending your approval. Afterwards Books and prints can be ordered after the wedding at your leisure; prints can usually be sent within 14 days of order and albums are designed and sent to the printers, once the layout design is approved by you. Website galleries are kept live for at least one year after the wedding date.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
One of the two of you together, very far away in a lovely setting and sharing an intimate moment whilst I'm very far away using a long lens.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
We went to an art exhibition with something called a 'Rain Room'. We went in and took some magnificent photos, the room has constant rain falling, but you don't actually get wet! amazing
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A white lace umbrella (make sure it's waterproof, I've got one if you want to borrow it) and a pair of wellies. We can do photos inside if you want, but I still love going out in the rain and getting some great shots!
Describe how you got into photography.
I studied it at college as I loved all forms of art at the time, but I fell in love with it when we went on trips outdoors for lads weekends on the coast or romantic camping trips in the lake district and Scotland.
