- We like to think our relaxed and professional approach to wedding photography takes the stress out of your day. We aim to provide our clients with amazing wedding photo’s combined with a well balanced selection of photographs of their wedding day. Our friendly team is headed up by Collette Evans who has over 15 years photography experience, specialising in wedding photography, promising perfect fairytale pictures from start to finish. She is assisted by Dean. “I go with the groom and Collette goes to shoot the bride during bride prep, it works perfectly” said Dean Hodson | We will be your guide when things don't go as you had planned, to remind you of the time and help you be where you need to be when you need to be. Most importantly we are there to capture the story of your wedding day and present you with quality show stopping images. We care about what you want. Lets put any budgets aside for a moment and get to know what you want for your wedding day. Heres a word or two about budgeting for Photography. Budget for the best. For a good wedding photographer, you can expect to pay between £1,000 and £2,500 depending on the location. It can seem a lot to pay but it will be so worth it. Be honest with everyone you contact about your expectations, it will allow them to try to accommodate and assess your needs. Collette said “You are paying your photographer for their experience and skills on the day and afterwards. Each wedding can take up 60 hours including shooting, editing and album design". Get in touch, we would love to hear your story and to arrange to meet up for a chat.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Wow, after over 100 weddings, where do I start? I think the best weddings are the ones where you can see a true bond with the whole family, the ones where you can feel the love in the room. They are the ones that get me every time.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Modern, fine art, natural, creative, a good mix
What about your business are you most proud of?
Excellent customer service, I try and go the extra mile for my clients and leave them not only with amazing photos but a great experience.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan before seeking out suppliers and quotes, budget on a spreadsheet and then add 15% contingency.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A bride had lost her dad and she had sewn a heart made from his old overalls into the course and inside of her dress to keep him close to her and walk her down the aisle.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
In brief: 1) After booking, I always let the couple know what is next. I think this is super important. 2) Their engagement photoshoot takes place anything from 6 months to 4 weeks prior to the wedding. 3) Shoot the wedding 4) Post wedding viewing premiere 5)Album design appointment if required
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
One during the evening, this is where the magic happens for me, its usually something that the client can't re create by themselves and so makes it special.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I think it has to be one on the beach at Bamburgh Castle, simply stunning backdrop for a wedding photo.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Don't panic! Bring weddingtons and I will bring a white umbrella, we can head out and create some amazing photos then then go indoors and find some more cute photo spots.
Describe how you got into photography.
Hardest question of all. How you you describe it? I think I'm modern and simple in my posing and editing style and on a whole, then in the evening I do like to add a little more contrast with some off camera flash lighting. We tend to mix posed photos of guests with natural candid ones, especially when theres two photographers. For the couple, these are posed but usually look natural. For my photography direction between myself and clients, I think my style is relaxed and stress free.
