What is your most memorable wedding?
This is a tough one.. Because they are all memorable in their own way..
My last wedding of the season last year because from start to finish it was just awesome! It wasn't a big, lavish and expensive day - just simple and very elegant. From the quaint little church to the small reception gathering, everything ran so smoothly and it all looked amazing.
The Bride & Groom and all of their guests were so lovely and welcoming. I truly felt i was a guest rather than a paid professional. And, i have the most fantastic shots from that evening to prove it. I enjoyed myself that much and was so engrossed with capturing the wonderful atmosphere that i lost all track of time and stayed longer than i was contracted too! No one, including myself wanted me to leave - we all got on so well. I couldn't have wished for a better ending to my wedding season.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Friendly, Professional, Unobtrusive, Creative & Tailored (to you)
What about your business are you most proud of?
Officially announced as a local Hotel's: Recommended Photographer and being shortlisted for the English Wedding Awards Photographer Of The Year 2017!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Whenever possible, always meet with a supplier in person before booking or placing an order.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my couples had a woodland themed wedding. A year before they landscaped their garden and removed a tree. Making use it all by transforming the trunk into place settings, the thick branches into candle holders and the thin branches into table centerpieces. Lovingly handmade by themselves for their day. They looked amazing!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After initial contact, call me traditional but i always like to have a no obligation, 'Meet & Greet Consultation Session' where my clients come to see me in my home. Because, i like for you to get to know me as well as i like getting to know you. We all get to sit with a cup of tea (or coffee if you prefer) and discuss your requirements in detail as you preview my work on the big screen and in sample albums.
Dates are secured with a non refundable deposit payment of £100 and a completed and signed booking form.
The deposit is then deducted from your overall package balance and the rest is then payable in agreed installments or in full up to four weeks prior to your wedding.
I will only photograph one wedding per day regardless of the package you choose.
I also offer a 'Recommended Supplier List' to all of my couples on booking, which details companies I trust and have worked with in the past for: venue styling, stationary, flowers, cars etc.
I like for us to be able to keep in contact with each other and so after booking, consultations are unlimited and i am on hand to help you in anyway i can (whether it is photography related or not).
Our last consultation session will be roughly four weeks prior to your wedding day - I am usually the last supplier you meet with once you have finalized all other details - so you can then update me with the important timings of your day and i can plan accordingly.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Fun & creative couples photos
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Don't be disheartened by it. The one thing you can't control, is the weather. I always recommend having clear or white umbrellas at hand just in case so, we can still go outside and get creative (if you want to).
Describe how you got into photography.
My father was a professional photographer when i was growing up. My first job was as his assistant on weddings and eventually i was promoted to be his second shooter. Photography was more of a hobby when i was 16 though and now it's my main passion in life.
