Frequently Asked Questions

What is your most memorable wedding?

I have so many memories of each wedding I have photographed. Each one becomes a part of me as I become a part of those days. My most memorable weddings were those shot in Spain for no other reason that they were different. However some of the venues here in the midlands are so stunning it is too hard to choose.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Very Friendly, Very Knowledgeable, Great Communicator, Determined, Professional

What about your business are you most proud of?

The feedback when I show my photographs to clients and they tell me the guests said how good I was.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Plan all you can beforehand but on the day trust the professionals you have hired and allow us to make your day special. Most of all enjoy every single second.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I always like to see the personal interaction at different times throughout the day. My favourite is when the Groom sends a surprise present to the bride, so sweet.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Initial contact through Social Media or Email. A face to face meeting over a coffee or drink somewhere where we can relax and chat. Listening to what the couples plans are for the wedding. Asking about the theme, the reason behind it. Learning who apart from them is important to them. Preparing a Photography Package that covers all they need at a price we can both agree to. Turning up on the day at the correct time with the correct equipment and backups to do the Job I love and am paid for. I then keep the communication open and flowing with regular updates and delivering the proofs as quickly as is reasonable. Finally the editing of the images ready for the final presentation be it digital, prints, photo Book or An Album.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

The Groom wrapped in chains from an anchor, it was quite a good metaphor and the bride and Groom loved it.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I have shot many wedding pictures in the rain. Wherever possible, I have already found the best place to take any photographs outside in bad weather and sought out an alternative indoor location for those that we just cannot get outside. Apart from the plethora of white umbrellas I bring, I always ensure that if someone has to get wet it will be me as I shoot the couple sheltered in a doorway.

Describe how you got into photography.

I have been into photography ever since my Dad showed me how to develop black and white film. I started as the family photographer and then went on courses and training to gain professionally recognised qualifications and experience.
