Frequently Asked Questions
(10)

What is your most memorable wedding?

Where the bride and groom dressed as King Arthur and Maid Marian....in full suit of armour etc! As the wedding was in an old castle it was very apt!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Creative. Discrete. Imaginitive. Fun. Relaxed.

What about your business are you most proud of?

That together with the Bride and Groom I create fantastic images that will be seen by generations.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

It is never too early to start planning your wedding, the intervening time goes by in a flash. Book your suppliers as early as you can, the best ones get booked up very early.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Where the Bride and Groom whispered their vows to one another, the words were only for each other so it wasn't important for others to hear them.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Usually it starts with an email, then an informal chat over coffee somewhere whilst looking at images in albums (they always look different when printed). Once booked we would usually do a pre wedding shoot, preferably at the wedding venue. On the day I like to get there super early for another look round the venue then we get into the day. After the wedding the images are usually ready to view on the gallery within a week or two at most.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Every wedding is completely different and tastes differ as well, ask your photographer to take the images you want, not what he wants!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A Bride wanted a shot of her galloping on her horse in her wedding dress, so we set it up the morning after her wedding!!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Plan your day so that you have a rainy day option for your photography, it is unusual for it to rain all day, so you have to be prepared to grab the weather window when it arrives.

Describe how you got into photography.

I was always fascinated by seeing an image come to life in the dark room....though that might be showing my age!
