Full Description
  • For me photographing a wedding is capturing the definition of the human experience. Unity & Love. Hello, my name is Ami and I absolutely love being a wedding photographer. Every year I capture amazing couples declaring their love and committing their lives to one another. I honestly could not ask for a more rewarding job. I adore every aspect of my work and my whole ethos is based around giving my clients a high standard of awesome service & photography! Working with me isn't just a business transaction, my clients become a part of my story while I tell theirs through my images. I only shoot 35 weddings a year and no more than one a weekend as I believe the service I offer my clients should be just as amazing as the photos. I work with you from start to finish to create some beautiful memories. My couples are my inspiration and who I am passionate about, I want your wedding photos to be a true reflection of who you are as a couple and your love for one another. I shoot in a natural non-obtrusive way capturing the story while still getting the important groups with family and friends. My prices start at £1350.00 and include travel within mainland UK.

What is your most memorable wedding?
All of my weddings have been incredibly memorable! I am so fortunate that every single one of my couples over the years have been totally in love and made a point of making their wedding as individual and as awesome as they are. It would be impossible to say who was the most memorable.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Authentic, honest, timeless and documentary with a traditional twist.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am mega proud of the level of service my clients receive. I only shoot 30 weddings a year and no more than 3 a month so waiting times for the final photos is within 3 weeks and emails are always replied to promptly. Couples always become my friends and the experience of working with me is a personal one.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy it. You only get to do do this once and the whole experience should be amazing and fun. It's something you should do together and put your personal stamp on. And never forget the reason you are getting married is because you have found your soulmate, the person you want to grow old with.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Probably all the amazing speeches I get to witness. I have seen so many that have made me cry and laugh, they are such a wonderful part of the day because it's a time to reflect on the relationship the couple have built not only with themselves but with the two families coming together.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Usually initial contact is made and then I reply with a massive congratulations and my collections brochure along with a few full weddings to have a browse of so they can get a real feel of my work. Next stage is a proper chat which is either in person or by Skype dependant on location. Once a decision is made then the contract and booking fee is sorted to secure the date. I always add my clients on Facebook if they are on there so they can keep up to date with me and my work. A month before the wedding final payment is made and we discuss the final timings of the day and their group photo list. We then have the wedding which is always amazing and then a preview blog post follows a couple of days later. The final photos are delivered within 3 weeks both on a USB in high res for printing and a online gallery so they can easily share the photos with friends and family. After that the album design is done with the couples in put and they get a huge choice of covers.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Confetti :) it's always amazing and colourful and fun!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I once had 5 generations of women from the brides family, such a special photo and that's why I always get the couples in put with their group photos.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A bold and brave attitude. Rain doesn't stop you from getting amazing photos, in fact rain can create amazing photos plus we all know it's good luck for the marriage
Describe how you got into photography.
A creative journey. I have always loved taking photos and I have spent years developing my skill alongside a tireless passion for people in love. Weddings was a natural transition and the whole experience has been incredible.
