Sadie Osborne Photography Full Description
Hello there, nice to meet you, my name is Sadie Osborne. I was born and raised in the beautiful county of Dorset, which is in the South of England. Salty sea air and dense woodland lay deep in my bones. When I was younger I aspired to be an archaeologist. My curious mind was fascinated with the past, rooting through history books looking at the pictures from long ago. It wasn’t until I decided against the academic education system that I found what I was born to do. Leaving a classroom filled with endless amounts of words to a photographic darkroom where I would spend the majority of my days capturing moments in time. This is where my purpose began. I believe that photography is one of the most powerful experiences that the human species has discovered. The simple beauty that is holds will always inspire my mind. The power to enable a person to feel the exact emotion they once experienced, the power to bring people together, the power to keep something alive forever and the power to let others see. I could write so much about myself, bore you with all the fine details on what makes my brain tick. The most important thing you should know is that I love what I do. I hold capturing moments in time very close to my heart, whether they are my own or someone else’s. I have been given a purpose to make a difference in peoples lives by what I can see through my own eyes. Whatever it will be, I will always be created with a deep passion.

What is your most memorable wedding?

Each wedding is totally unique and awesome, so each one holds a special memorable place in my heart

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

organic, creative, cinematic, natural and awesome

What about your business are you most proud of?

i'm most proud of the friendships I make with my couples and making a difference in their lives by doing what I'm most passionate about. I adore photography with my whole heart and I am forever grateful for the opportunities, friendships and good times that I have been given over the years.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Always go with you heart. If you feel they are the one.. trust it.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Every wedding has touches that are unique to that couple, so every wedding is always different and perfect because it portrays the characteristics of the couple. but personally I am fond of a sweet cart.... especially if there are cola bottles kicking around on there.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We start with email communication, then more importantly we hang out, get to know each other in person and discuss our passions and loves. We make a solid friendship & trust level. Then we roll with the pre wedding shoot, then boom! time for wedding day fun!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Thats a hard question, as I don't like to be the same with each wedding. As each couple is different, you have to portray those personalties through the art of photography. But I guess an image that I always love to take is confetti, there is so much happiness within that shot its awesome! but just remember not to inhale any as you walk through haha.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I don't really get asked this question. My work and photography style isn't really original, its a little different. Because i'm not a posed or staged photographer, there isn't really a set list of shots for each wedding. this is because every wedding is different. each couple's love and relationship is unique. So I get to know you both, create a friendship and really listen to your love. Then I document & portray this through the art of photography. Like a story book of your love... but with images.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I LOVE RAIN WEDDINGS! yessss! winner!! Rain is beautiful and can change lots of things, the way is changes colour, clouds diffusing the light, reflections on the ground and everyone dashing about with smiles on their faces! its great! My advice is to just totally embrace the day, the weather does not change your love for each other, its just a beautiful element of nature, a refreshing feel that unique and 100% natural. We shoot rain or shine and we have fun rain or shine! Don't worry or stress, Sadie got ya back with those snaps!

Describe how you got into photography.

back in the day when I left school I wanted to be a lawyer... found out in Sixth form I really wasn't academic and hated it and walked out of there! what a rebel! I knew my purpose was for something in life, but wasn't quite sure. I went to weymouth college and did a photography A level. Working with 35mm film I spent most of those two years in the darkroom. I got obsessed. I could never work with words on a page, but I found that I could express a story through imagery. it was like a hidden language. The most special memory of those days were that I could shoot how I felt, I could contain so much emotion in one image, then give that image to someone and they really feel that emotion too. That to me was magic and so powerful. Ever since then I believe that this is meant to be my purpose in life. Making people feel emotion through the visual stories that I narrate.
