Full Description
Hi, I’m Sandra, and I’m a photo journalist with over 15 years experience in weddings. My photographic service also includes engagement shoots, civil partnerships, family, pet and portrait sessions. I'm based in London and photograph weddings all over the UK and internationally. Since weddings vary in length and numbers my pricing is very much bespoke and tailored to the day. I offer three basic packages with a range of coverage which also includes an option to purchase albums. (*Special reductions available for week day events and smaller celebrations*) As for style, I’m a documentary photographer with an eye for capturing real emotion along with all the quirky and candid moments that make up the day. I unashamedly love weddings which I’m sure comes from having 5 older sisters and being part of their big day as I was growing up. My aim at each and every wedding is to capture everything with as much beauty as I can possibly squeeze from my camera and to deliver images that will be cherished for years to come. Bio + small portfolio: Main portfolio: Languages spoken: French, Italian, Russian. For more info please fill out the form or contact me on 0758 1230 456 / I’d be delighted to hear from you. ***I shoot a maximum of 25 weddings a year to ensure the highest level of attention to each couple***

Passionate Photographer !
We highly recommend Sandra as a wedding photographer! She was very professional and competent, but obviously passionate about what she does. On the day, she was very unobtrusive and managed to capture some great candid moments. We arranged for Sandra to stay later to set up a photobooth and to capture some of the evening dance moves. I am so glad we did, as these are some of the best photos from the day.

Beautiful photos
We really enjoyed having Sandra take our engagement and wedding photos. We never had any photoshoots before meeting Sandra so she was really nice and encouraging, which really helped us relax and enjoy the moment. In addition, we took photos both in one of London's major parks as well as in a more urban location for the wedding--Sandra knew both areas well and made tons of great suggestions on specific spots / walks we could explore for the photos. Most importantly, I really liked the quality of the resulting photos and would definitely recommend Sandra as the photographer for your special event!

Not for weddings
Unfortunately I dont recommend using this photographer for weddings. We had a terrible experience. Her work on taking stills of objects are great, but not when it comes to taking and editing photos of people; photos make people look aged and tired, and colors are unnatural. We tried to ask for them to be re-edited, but even after waiting 3 months for the re-edit they still looked awful. We tried to ask a Professional printer if he could fix it on printing but he was at a loss with the filters that were applied. We tried to get the originals from the photographer but she refused because she liked the photos as they were, despite us as a couple not liking them. It was very sad and our memories have been ruined. I wouldnt have written this if she at least helped us with the originals, you only get married once, but she wouldnt. She also spends a lot of time editing photos of objects like your shoes, accessories etc more than your own photos, and tries to use them/resell them to the brands! Even though its your personal things and we asked everyone to keep our wedding super private. She wouldnt respect that. Please dont use her, it’s really awful to work with someone who cares more about themselves and their ‘art’, and makes it about themselves, and wont understand that your wedding is a special day to you and tries to commercialise on it.

Outstanding Service
Sandra managed to capture the joy we felt on our big day. There were many a laugh or an “oh my gosh - I had forgotten about that” when looking back through them and remembering what those photos captured. Her thoughtfullness in regards to the mood we wanted to encapsulate came through in the types of photo she took and the styling involved. The photos showcased action, candid moments and those all important speech reaction shots. We will treasure these reminders of those moments for a long time.

Outstanding Service
Sandra truly captured the essence of our day perfectly, from the the emotion of the ceremony to the laughter of family and friends during our reception. We couldn’t be happier with the spontaneous style of photos she has curated, which is exactly what we were looking for. Her service is outstanding, even taking time to visit our venue before hand to figure out the best shots and we definitely feel like she has put so much effort into making our photos absolutely stunning - we can wait to plaster our home with these precious memories from our happy day! What is your most memorable wedding?

It's impossible to chose just one wedding as I genuinely get so much out of each and every one I've photographed. The most unusual wedding however was probably where I was the only guest, and acted as witness and photographer to a couple who had met later in life and didn't want any fuss. Needless to say I was very moved and had to hold my camera extra steady!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Considered, friendly, relaxed, quirky, fun.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Buy plenty of confetti! order 3 times what you think then you should have enough!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Father of the bride had embroidered his daughters' and son-in-law's names onto the inside of his jacket.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I like the big group shot. It's a way of saying thank you to everyone who came especially if they aren't included in the formals.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

It's usually me who instigates the unusual shots, as I enjoy the bizarre as well as the traditional! I will be the one up ladders and leaning out of windows to get the photo, but recently I was asked to photograph the bride and groom cutting the cake with a genuine naval sword which was pretty cool. I've also snapped couples playing golf, rowing a boat, and buying ice cream from a van in the street. Great fun!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Carry on regardless! and bring some nice big umbrellas. The best shots can be had when things don't go according to plan..

Describe how you got into photography.

Photography was always a passion first and foremost; the idea of becoming a professional only came about after spending time in Paris where I took some classes with a wonderful teacher who became my mentor, and I never looked back. Aside from weddings I do a lot of photojournalism and my work is currently on exhibition in Holland.
