I love a wedding! It's a real joy to be able to capture as much of it as I possibly can. My role is to ensure that I know exactly what you want to be captured, making sure that I engage with your family and guests, confidently and professionally, to capture them at their best. I try to be as unobtrusive as possible in order to catch candid moments that reflect the events of the day. If desired, formal group shots and posed shots are part of my service. The wedding day goes by so quickly and the happy couple definitely do not get to see everything that goes on during the day. As one of my clients recently said upon receiving their photos, they were able to relive the wedding and actually take time to see the interactions, fun and love that happened as a result of them saying "Yes" to each other. I am an experienced photographer with over a decade of freelance work capturing weddings, family portraits, newborn photography and other events. I pride myself on providing a friendly, personal and flexible service that is specifically tailored to the needs of my clients. I was also a teacher for 24 years, so my experience has allowed me to develop a calm and purposeful approach to wedding photography and the ability to respond quickly and flexibly to changes such as inclement weather, changes to the photography plan or persuading camera shy guests to let me capture them on your behalf. I'm also a born helper, so I always find that I am offering to help with other things during the day to remove as much stress as possible for you. In the time between accepting the quote and the wedding itself, I will meet with you to discuss your plans, to get to know you both, building a relationship that allows you to feel confident about me as your photographer and to draw up a photography plan for the day.
