Searching for a wedding photographer is hard. First you need to find someone who captures photographs in a style that you love. Secondly, they must be friendly, approachable and flexible in order to fit in with your wedding day. Lastly, you want a photographer who you can trust to snap shot every special moment of your day, so that you can relive and treasure those memories always and forever. I have loved photography ever since I was a little girl. I was inspired by my dad who was an amateur photographer; he made me pose for the camera nearly all of the time. He gave me my first camera when I was 7, a 35mm Olympus. Since then I started to take photography more seriously and completed a Bachelor with Honours Degree in Visual Communication where I explored the art of photography and film making. Now, I work full time as a photography teacher in a school, working with vulnerable young adults who suffer from anxiety and depression. This is part of my dream, to share the passion of photography with others and to help people to overcome feelings of self doubt. Teaching photography is a form of therapy for both my students and for me! With all of that, I have learned to become patient, understanding and reliable. Especially when it comes to expressing my vision through the eye of the camera and working with people. It is a blessing to be invited to capture a special event such as a wedding and I truly love every minute of it. I have worked hard towards gaining knowledge and experience so that I can be a confident & creative photographer with my own sense of style and adaptability.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Louise & Scott's SURPRISE wedding! (yes... you read it right. All of the guests thought that they were there to celebrate a 30th birthday party, then out comes the bride to marry her beau in their back garden! It really was so magical.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
clean, light, elegant, momentous & spirited
What about your business are you most proud of?
Most of all, I am so proud to be the person who has the honour and responsibility to capture THE most important day of people's lives. I am also really proud of the photographic style that I have developed. I am adaptable, and I have the ability to shoot in lots of different ways to suit each bride and groom that I work for. From a documentary style to get natural, fly on the wall shots to a more formal style to get those all important, classic family portraits and big group photographs.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Embrace every second.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
When the bride and groom stepped out of the church, and they were given two white doves to hold and set free to fly away. This was a total surprise to them, organised by the bride's mother. It was so lovely to see the doves fly far away into the sky, it was a significant and poignant moment marking a new chapter in their lives.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I love to get to know the couples that I work with prior to their wedding, as I feel that it is really important for us to create a bond so that they feel comfortable around me, resulting in much better photographs on the day! This is why I offer all of my couples a complimentary pre wedding photoshoot & consultation. We get to practice some poses, have an informal chat and discuss all of the plans for the big day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A classic, beautiful portrait of the bride and groom after the ceremony. I always offer to whisk my couples away for a few moments to get some gorgeous shots of them together. That's what it's all about!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Well, let's just say that it involves a photobomb including a bare bottom.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A beautiful transparent brolly, so that we can get some romantic outdoor shots no matter what the weather!
Describe how you got into photography.
As far as I can remember, I have always loved being creative and I aspired to follow my dad, who was an amateur photographer when I was young. I got hold of my first camera when I was just a girl, and ever since my love and passion for photography continued to grow.
