Be the first one to tell everyone about the experience you’ve had with this supplier.
Choosing a wedding photographer is tough, isn’t it? Finding someone who’s the right fit for you and your wedding. If you’ve got this far then I’m guessing you like my photography. So let me tell you a bit about where I’m coming from.
LETTING YOU BE YOURSELF
I like to get to know you and help you express yourself in a way that doesn’t feel like it came from an instruction manual. That means relaxing and having fun, or being reserved, or whatever you are.
AND YOUR GUESTS BE GUESTS
You didn’t invite your guests to a photoshoot. (If you did want to, I’m happy to pencil it in for another day.) They’re going to be doing their thing and expressing their personalities and contributing little subplots to the day. I believe in documenting without directing – being in the right place at the right time and capturing, rather than creating moments.
IT’S ABOUT THE BIG PICTURE
Your wedding is all about the people and the excitement of the wedding day. Above your venue or the cake or the shoes (I know they’re important too!). Believe me – I’ve been to hundreds of weddings – and,on the other side of the coin, I’ve also photographed for Don’t Tell The Bride.
Photos can be beautiful and intelligent, but I believe photos shine when they go the extra mile and hit you in the gut. When they make you laugh or cry and put you right back in the moment.
I’M INSPIRED BY…
…..movies, music and street photography and don’t to follow the crowd. What I do promise is original photography that will move and inspire you.
I live in Derby, which is surrounded by miles and miles of beautiful Peak District countryside as well as several great cities. It also means Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire and Leicestershire are in easy reach. I do like an adventure though, so please drop me a line if you live further afield and I’ll see what I can do.

What is your most memorable wedding?
I had a beautiful Tipi festival wedding, which had a very Glastonbury feel to it a couple of years back. I think I would have paid the couple to let me shoot it (don't tell them that though).
Also Don't Tell the Bride for BBC3 - but for very different reasons.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Honest, Real, Raw, Emotional, Unposed
What about your business are you most proud of?
Getting shortlisted for the wedding industry awards this year.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Decide on the top 3 things that are important to you on your day - and make them really happen!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I always love a good live band.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We meet, we get along. I get to know them better. I turn up on the day and take photos that I think will rock their world.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Being someone who always makes it up on the day..... I don't really believe there is one. Every wedding is unique, and the photography is the best way to capture that. It shouldn't be so formulaic.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
^^ See above.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Surrounding yourself with people you love and having a good time.
Describe how you got into photography.
Fairly late. I've always been a musician and storyteller, and photography came into my life and drew a lot of those skills together.
