- Your wedding day is one of the most beautiful days of your life, and it deserves the very best photography. I find beauty everywhere I look. All those little moments throughout the day that you may not have noticed, but they will bring a tear to your eye when you look back at them in the years that follow. When you are getting ready that morning and the emotion is quietly building around you, I see how utterly beautiful you look in that mirror when you might be busy thinking about all the other stuff. These are the moments that tell the real story of your day. I am a very relaxed, positive person and will put you at ease immediately. There won't be any awkward posing, but I will lend a hand with some gentle direction, so you can both enjoy a few moments together after the ceremony, and I will capture that true intimacy and joy for you. My background is in editorial photography, so my work is definitely influenced by that. I am a lover of art, design and minimalism which helps me to strip back the clutter from my images to create a very contemporary look, and I will ensure you look your very best by using naturally flattering angles in luminous daylight. It's important to me to get to know you beforehand, which is why I include a complimentary engagement shoot in my package. This is also a wonderful opportunity to feel at ease in front of the camera, and realise it can actually be a fun experience. My business is still only in its second year, but it has gone from strength to strength. I have not only received a Gold Award from The Societies of Photographers, but my work has also been published on some of the top wedding blogs including Bridal Musings, One Fab Day, So You're Getting Married, The English Wedding Blog, Hitched, and The Secret Wedding Blog. Please pop over to my website and take a look at my blog posts which will give you a good sense of how I can capture your day.

What is your most memorable wedding?
I have photographed so many different weddings. I think my most memorable was the really creative couple who transformed an empty theatre into a celestial paradise. It was featured on Love My Dress recently, and was just really fun and inventive.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Elegant - Luxe - Fresh - Contemporary - Original
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am proud that I have an original style and that I am driven by my artistic vision rather than money or trends. The most important thing to me is that my couples are absolutely in love with their images, I go out of my way to make sure that happens, and it always does.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy the planning! I know it can feel like a chore and overwhelming at times, but if you both sit down one night a week with a glass of wine (Wedding Wednesday, anyone?) and choose one specific task to work on, it can be fun. I still look back at that memory with my now-husband and smile, it was such a special period of time.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I really like a polaroid camera (with optional props) in the corner, with a metal display wall next to it for the images. I love how it evolves throughout the evening until you have a complete visual story on show.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to meet couples in person first, it means we get to connect with each other, and I get a better sense of what you want from your wedding photography (this is very important to me). Once you have decided to book, I will send my contract and deposit info over to secure the date, as well as my booking form. After this, we will have an engagement session which is always relaxed and fun, and for those that are nervous, it is a perfect time to realise I am not scary at all! I will be just like a friend taking candid shots while we go for a wander somewhere, and you will get some gorgeous images of this lovely pre-wedding time. On your wedding day, you will be much more relaxed in front of the camera and we will have a better understanding of each other.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I don't necessarily think there is one single photo, I like to tell the whole story of the day from the nervous energy of the bride getting ready (love this part!) to the momentousness of the ceremony, and all the heady emotions afterwards. It is a very emotional journey, which is incredible to watch.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I don't normally get asked to take specific shots, as my clients book me based on my natural and emotional documentary approach. I capture organic moments that happen as the day unfolds, and they will be the ones that bring the joy and emotion when you look back on them.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace the rain! I grew up in Ireland so it doesn't scare me at all. In fact, a soft drizzle can make for a beautiful, romatic image. It is also unlikely to rain all day so if you'd rather avoid it, keep your schedule a little flexible so we can pop out for ten minutes if the sky clears.
Describe how you got into photography.
As a child, I was constantly drawing or designing something. I studied fine art at college, then went to Dublin Institute of Technology where I studied Photography for three years. After working as an assistant and stylist, I moved to China for a couple of years, followed by Montreal and Kuala Lumper before finally arriving in London in 2006. I got a job as a picture editor/art director at a top photo agency, where I stayed for 8 years, and when my children (now 5 and 3) were over the baby stage, I finally launched my wedding photography business. I am still in my second year but it has been such a rollercoaster ride so far - I have had my work published on numerous wedding blogs as well as winning a Gold Award from The Societies of Photographers so I am delighted with how it has progressed.
