What is your most memorable wedding?
I found my passion for creativity almost by accident while at school. I then had lots of work experience before I was getting my own work while still in university which neatly transitioned into setting up my business and getting to where I am now.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
A couple once had a barge to take them from the wedding venue to the reception and I got to take photos on the barge which made for some special images.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Hard to nail down to one in particular. There are plenty of wonderful moments in every wedding. Each one is very personal to each couple and special in its own way.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Couples come for a first meeting where I explain my process and find about more about them and their plans. They sign an agreement and pay a deposit and we arrange a preshoot so they get a feel for being my subjects. We set times and a list of must have shots for their wedding before the big day. After the wedding we have another meeting to flick through the photos and hand over their own memory box to take home.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Umbrellas and positive attitude. Rain presents a challenge but doesn't make a photo shoot impossible!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
When a couple sees the photos of their wedding for the first time and relive the day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Flexible, adaptive, documentary, bespoke, creative
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Some kind of group shot with everyone in. It doesn't have to have confetti in but it always makes for a great photo.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
When the couple had Polaroid cameras for guests to pass around at the reception. The guests then stuck the polarioids into the guest book with a message to create a photo book of the evening.
Describe how you got into photography.
Remember it's YOUR wedding so plan what you want to have.
