Hi, I am Neil and I am a Sheffield based wedding photographer covering weddings in South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and even further afield by special request. If you choose me to be part of your day, I will be there not just to take photos of you, what I want to do is record the emotion, the feeling, the goosebumps, the butterflies and the tears. I prefer to capture natural wedding moments as they happen rather than a posed look. I use available light over flash wherever possible as I believe it gives the images a much more romantic and well, natural look. That being said, I will never sacrifice taking the shot just because my ego doesn't think it will look good on my website, it's about you not my portfolio. If you choose me to be part of your day, I will not just be there to take photos of you. What I want to do is record the emotion, the feeling, the goosebumps, the butterflies, the tears. I want my images to be something you will look back on in 5, 15, 30 years time and be able to feel how you did on that day. I want your children and grandchildren to discover your album in years to come and to sit down with you to hear the story behind every picture. I want them to feel the excitement, happiness and love that you created on that day. I don't want to direct you to put the shoes here, look this way, look that way. I want you to remember it because that's the way it happened, that's the way you felt. I like to use a more traditional style for the group shots that most Brides and Grooms want but, also a relaxed, contemporary almost documentary style to record all of the other non scripted parts of your day that would otherwise slip by unnoticed. I also want to take time with as a couple for half an hour or so on the day to create some stunning portraits that you will want to have hanging on your wall at home. I prefer to use natural light over flash wherever possible as it gives the images a much more romantic and well, natural look.

Thank you for being absolutely awesome yesterday!
Thank you for being absolutely awesome yesterday! You really went above and beyond for us and you are such a genuinely lovely guy! Everyone commented on how great you wer...
What is your most memorable wedding?
Every single one of them! They are all memorable for different reasons. I have favourite dresses, flowers, first dances, speeches & venues but I remember every wedding I have photographed for its own uniquness.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, Natural, Relaxed, Creative, Relaxed
What about your business are you most proud of?
The fact that couples I have photographed tell other people to book me!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take time to relax and enjoy it. Time goes by very quickly.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A surfboard as a guest book
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Depends entirely on what the couple want. I am very flexible when it comes to process and arrangements
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The group ones. I don't like formals but every couple should make sure that they get that photo with the people that matter most.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
One of an entire family performing to the song King Caraticus
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas and smiles. Nothing you can can do to change it and it cant rain all the time.
Describe how you got into photography.
It sounds simple but just by picking a camera up and taking photos. I initially thought I could be a Motorsport photographer but spending 12 hours sat by a rainy track on my own quickly lost its appeal. I still do it for fun occasionally but I really love weddings.
