What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable Wedding will have to be Becky & Ben's Autumnal October Campervan extravaganza. Like my couple, I am a fan of vintage VW's, especially the Campervans and these guys had two campervans and a vintage VW Beetle to transport themselves and their Bridal party to their venue. I was as excited as the Bride & Groom when they pulled up and we made an extra special effort to capture lots of lovely pictures of them both with the vehicles.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Organic, artistic, documentative, vibrant, emotive
What about your business are you most proud of?
Every Wedding I do I am so proud of. I get to know my couples before their day and gain at least two new friends for every Wedding I do. This makes your Wedding photography incredibly personal to me as well as you and each one I do I am super proud and excited to deliver your photos.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Choose the people you get along with to help you with your Wedding day. It will help make everything go smoother and you will stress less as you know you've picked the right people you can rely on. Your Wedding day will go by so fast you don't want to waste time worrying about anything, you must enjoy every minute!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I had a couple this year that had their friends and family all make something to go towards their Wedding day decorations. The Bride's mother made a stunning cake covered in succulents, her Bridesmaids made the hanging decorations and the Groomsmen made the table center pieces. Everyone contributed in some way or another and it was really special for them to be surrounded by all these amazing treasures their loved ones had put so much effort into.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We'll get together for a first introductory meeting where I will sit with you and show you examples of previous Weddings, my Albums and USB packages. We will then discuss what you'd like included in your package, how long you'd like me to be there for and any shoot ideas you may have. I will then send you over a quote for a personalised package for you to look over together in your own time. When you have decided to go ahead, I only need a booking fee at this time to secure your date and the rest of the balance isn't payable until one month before your Wedding day. We can discuss at this stage if you'd like to set up a payment plan. Then we will discuss, plan and book your pre Wedding shoot. We will meet at least 3 times before your Wedding day and you can of course get in touch with me at anytime if you have any questions or would like to meet up again.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Definitely a print worthy portait of the Bride & Groom. For every couple I insist on getting a gorgeous pic of the two of you (ideas welcome if you know what you'd like), something that you can blow up nice and big and display on your wall.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The Bride & Groom hired a surfboard machine for their reception. I have certainly never been asked to capture the Bride attempting to surf in her Wedding dress before, but it made for some great photos and the Groom got to go in and rescue her from all the layers of tulle!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Coloured wellies & umbrellas! We're British, we're programmed to expect rain when we don't want it, so let's embrace it!
Describe how you got into photography.
My dad was always into Photography and got my mum into it too. I always used to steal off with my dads Nikon and play 'photoshoots' with my model friend.
