'The way you capture each moment and beautiful scenery is so special'
Professional and experienced wedding and elopement photographer based in Glasgow. Genuinely friendly and relaxed. Available to photograph weddings in Scotland, UK and worldwide. I prefer others to describe me, I think it's more honest that way. From what I've heard, people find me friendly, patient, kind and creative. I used to do a lot of live music photography and I love the outdoors and it shows in my work.

I can't thank you enough!
These are absolutely amazing! You’ve really captured the day perfectly, I can't thank you enough for that or for how easy and stress free you made us both feel. Your work is incredible and I will be recommending you to anyone that will listen.

Really nice and accommodating
Bart was really nice and accommodating with our requests and our schedule. We are not usually comfortable with having our picture taken but Bart managed to make us comfortable and managed to take amazing pictures of our guests and us. Even though Bart got sick after our wedding, he still managed to get all the pictures ready quickly and available on a link, as well as sent to us a wooden USB key and in a lovely wooden box to keep it safe. We’ll be able to cherish tis for a very long time. The pictures are just incredible, and we were really delighted with his work. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better photographer for us and what we wanted. We highly recommend his services.

Thank you so much for the amazing job you did
We’ve just sat with some wine from the wedding and watched these back. They're amazing! Thank you so much for the amazing job you did on the day and for the beautiful pictures - they’re fantastic and we love them. The kilt zombies are especially brilliant! 🤣🤣

Thanks so so much Bart
Bart did the photography for our Crear wedding in Feb 2020. Not only did we get some absolutely amazing photographs but he was such a lovely guy! That makes a huge difference especially during a small wedding. I really appreciate that the photos were much more focused on natural (unposed) shots and ones that were a bit different to the usual wedding photos. Looking through them has been such a happy thing for us bringing back lovely memories (something we all need just now!) Thanks so so much Bart.

Frequently Asked Questions
(10)

What is your most memorable wedding?

I try to make each one memorable!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

relaxed, romantic, personal, documentary, informal

What about your business are you most proud of?

I'm proud that I helped people feel good about themselves and enjoy being in front of the camera, even if they thought they would be uncomfortable with it.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Pick people who don't stress you out! Everything goes better when you're enjoying the experience.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Most of the weddings I have shot were full of personal touches, so it's hard to pick one!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

It's great if I can meet the couple before the wedding, I think it really helps people to be more relaxed around me on the day. Often that's not possible - and I just do my best to first and foremost make people feel relaxed and at ease. I want the couples to feel good on their wedding day and I think that's a solid foundation for getting some really good photos.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Some kind of relaxed photo of the two people having a moment of peace and quiet together on what's often a loud, busy day. Often that's the first chance to relax and fully feel the joy of the special day - and it makes for great photos.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Usually something funny that may or may not have something to do with people wearing kilts.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Wear something comfortable, grab an umbrella and embrace what could be an amazing opportunity! Rainy photos can be absolutely amazing - as long as you feel comfortable being outside. You really don't have to get soaked to get some beautiful pictures - I may have to, but that's part of my job that I don't mind. Otherwise, if going outside feels uncomfortable... get cosy indoors and enjoy it! I took a lot of cool photos of people being indoors through a rainy window from the outside. They can be really special! Also - if it rains, it's probably overcast and the light is pretty special for portraits!

Describe how you got into photography.

Working for a tourism magazine, then photographing live music for many years.
