Lisa is lovely!
Lisa is absolutely lovely! She was the second Celebrant I spoke to and I knew immediately she was the right one for us! Having met and worked with Lisa since, we are sure we have made the right decision. Lisa's personality and style are all about ensuring we as a couple are comfortable with every aspect of the detail and design of our ceremony. She offers really helpful ideas and suggestions, based on listening to what we say we would like, and then our combined ideas evolve together naturally into a unique and personal storyboard for us. Lisa is all about making the day 'your' special day and not about trying to deliver a 'one size fits all' ceremony."

Absolutely fantastic!
We were lucky enough to be able to book Lisa Flahant for our humanist wedding ceremony in Cornwall - she was absolutely fantastic! Amazing, prompt organisation, wonderfully personal touches, and just all round lovely human being, we felt so well looked after throughout the whole process. Lisa really helped put us at ease throughout all the planning, was so patient with our lack of organisation, and just helped our day so special - it really wouldn't have been the same without her! The ceremony itself was just beautiful - so inclusive of all the guests, and so personal to us; everyone has spoken to us since about just how wonderful it all was. Thank you Lisa! Jake and Kathy xx

Simply perfect
From the moment we contacted Lisa, we felt at ease. She is personable and professional and undertook our ceremony (at fairly short notice) with skill and understanding. She gave up time as we needed, visited us at home and at work and also spoke to us over the phone, thereby always reassuring us throughout the build up. We sought a traditional style ceremony and Lisa built on the details we had given about ourselves and turned our ceremony into an event. Our guests talked about the wedding breakfast, the brides dress and Lisa's ceremony! Many spoke about it being the best wedding they could remember and so much of that is down to the amazing work of Lisa. The ceremony she provided was perfectly written and balanced our love story whilst embracing the fun that we share in our lives. It is fair to say that what Lisa delivered on the day did not leave many (including the groom and the bride's father) without a tear in their eye.

What is your most memorable wedding?

Ahh... they are all memorable for different reasons! Although I particularly enjoy seeing furry members of the family included :-)

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Friendly, compassionate, energetic, enthusiastic, smiley!

What about your business are you most proud of?

Delivering exactly what my couples want.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't try and please everyone - it's your day and should be exactly as you want it.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love a bespoke handfasting - although surprise readings are another favourite!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

First we chat! Either via email, phone or a Messenger, Skype or Facetime conversation. Then if you think you would like to proceed, I will send you a booking form and ask for a deposit to secure your date and enable me to start working with you. We’ll then exchange some ‘getting to know you’ information and set up a face-to-face meeting to plan out your exact requirements. At this point, I will start writing your ceremony, liaising with you throughout the process. We’ll discuss it and I can re-draft it as many times as you require before I deliver your ceremony in person! What is of the utmost and absolute importance to me, is that I create exactly what you want.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

I am currently planning a ceremony which includes a feline ring-bearer!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

I am super-organised, super-calm and super-relaxed about everything - which definitely helps!

What do you love most about your job?

What is there not to love?! But being part of a couple's most special day is pretty amazing all-round!

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

The kiss, of course!
