- As a professionally trained toastmaster, Garry understands that couples want to be able to relax and enjoy their day without having to worry about anything. He is on hand to ensure that everything runs smoothly, just exactly as it has been planned over the previous months. For many, the word toastmaster generates an image of a gentleman, wearing a bright red tailcoat making announcements at a wedding. They may well have been to a wedding and experienced a Toastmaster who is there for just a few hours whilst the wedding breakfast take place. Couples often set their budget for the day, often leaving it to chance that it's all going to take place how they've planned it. By booking Garry, many of the concerns about what happens and when are eliminated. He might be considered as 'the glue that sticks the day together', your own personal wedding co-ordinator for the day who understands, from regular contact in the build up exactly what you're expecting to create the day of your dreams. His style can be more relaxed and modern but with the elements of tradition such as announcements, toasts and speeches or the cake cutting ceremony.

What is your most memorable wedding?
I don't have a 'favourite' as I've worked at so many wonderful weddings over the years.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bubbly, enthusiastic, meticulous, personable, organised
What about your business are you most proud of?
Being recognised by clients for my work in nominating me to win both regional and national wedding awards.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always consider using a professional toastmaster or planner, rather than leave the day to chance.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Personal touches at a wedding are wide and varied, each one being individual to the couple, so again, it's difficult to choose a favourite.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once a couple has made contact through an enquiry form or in person, my initial request is for them to provide as much information about their day, allowing me to provide a written quotation. This can be done using a form, or again in person. Once they have booked, I am then available for any assistance or advice that they may require during their planning process. At around 6 - 8 weeks before the day, I always like to have a face to face planning meeting to discuss the finer points and schedule of the day.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
I was once asked to host a 'murder mystery' event during a wedding reception.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
When a couple book me, I endeavour to run their day in a way that deals with any 'hiccups' in the background, efficiently and effectively so that they can continue to relax and have a stress free day.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting people and helping to create memories that will last a lifetime.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
Favourite moment at a wedding is always when a couple make their grand entrance into their wedding breakfast. It's a time for celebration and my role helps to create that impact.
