Week of Wedding Planning
We specialise in listening to our client's brief, and having been instructed to assist them over the coming weeks and months, we present a variety of quotes from suppliers whom we are familiar with. Whether this be marquee companies, venues, caterers, musicians, florists, lighting specialists, sound and production, bands, transport and accommodation in the area, a choir, horse and carriage company or a lucky chimney sweep! We will guide you throughout the planning process, be there to receive deliveries, manage the event on the day and be the last person on site to turn off the generator. Then we'll be back to ensure that the clear up goes as smoothly as the build up. We charge a fee for our services, but bearing in mind that we have your best interests at heart both financially and practically, if we are offered discounts through being 'in the trade' or having built up a good relationship with suppliers, we will pass these on to you. Originally based in London, and for the last 20 years working here in Suffolk, we are familiar with suppliers in both areas thereby offering you a wide range of options for the exciting elements such as furniture and props, as well as unusual table linen, cutlery, china and glassware! Do give us a call for a no-obligation chat. We won't take over your event, merely guide you along the path to your big day. And if you'd like to speak to some previous clients, we'll pass on their details for reference.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding is memorable for different reasons; small and intimate ones stressing the importance of family and friendships, and larger ones for their opulence and joy of bringing so many guests together from often around the world.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Thoughtful, precise, conscientious, jolly and enthusiastic.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Going the extra mile to ensure every event is a success for my valued clients.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Asking the bride's girlfriends to make cakes and having a wedding cake table - it became a competition and all cakes were labelled and enjoyed by the guests throughout the evening!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Initially I think it's important to meet a bride, her groom too if he wants to be involved, and of course ideally her family. We chat and discuss their ideas and I throw more thoughts into the pot. Following this I write with a proposal and a spreadsheet of possible costs, following which I ask the client to sign my Terms of Business indicating that they wish me to start work for them on their event.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
Flying beer in from Germany.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
A good wedding planner will not divulge exactly what may be going on behind the scenes - she is like a swan paddling away below the surface of the water, but cool, calm and collected on the exterior. That's what I like to think I am like at my events.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting people and building a rapport.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
The first dance!
