Kelly Hawes - Fun, Modern Celebrant

We hired Kelly to be the celebrant for wedding day in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. We have nothing but praise for Kelly - she is absolutely fantastic. We loved every minute of our ceremony and so many of our guests commented on what a wonderful, unique and special event it was. She made the whole process so enjoyable and a lot less stressful than we ever thought it could be!  At all times of the process Kelly was professional, patient and responsive. We're so happy that we chose her to be our celebrant. She gently helped formulate a ceremony unique to us, and gave us advice about how best to incorporate our 2 year old son during the event. We would not hesitate to recommend her to any couple planning their wedding celebration.

We can't recommend Kelly enough! Over the past year she got to know us, and in doing so created a bespoke wedding ceremony that was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance. She took the time to also include the kids, making them apart of our special day! Kelly also helped to guide us in writing our wedding vowls, ensuring they reflected us perfectly. At the end, we were given the speech and notes, beautifully typed up and placed on cards, that we now have framed. Thank you for everything

We said we wanted the ceremony to be fun and it certainly was that! We asked to have some parts of the ceremony kept secret from us and I am so glad we did, she had contacted our friends and the surprise statements from them was simply perfect, as were the 'we will' statements! She put our niece at ease who was nervous about reading her poem & spoke to our photographer, British Sign Language interpreter and singer as well. If you are on the fence about booking Kelly…. Just do it!

We contacted Kelly with a celebrant wedding in mind,after legally marrying in Covid. We hadn't considered a celebrant prior to this and would have been satisfied with a ceremony conducted by a Registrar. BUT,if we had known how incredible a celebrant ceremony could be, it would have been our first choice. When we met,we could tell straight away that she was our kind of person. Kelly had loads of ideas and was invested in making a ceremony personal and fun and boy did she deliver

Kelly was amazing and made our ceremony very special, she listened to what we wanted and provided it exactly as asked. I still cry every time I read it! I cannot thank her enough.

We booked Kelly after a small covid ceremony, we had our big day planned and wanted something personal and "us" and Kelly absolutely smashed it out the park! In the lead up she was just amazing, we had already had a few postponements and after booking her we had more and she was kind, understanding and caring the whole time, really making sure we were ok. When planning our ceremony she took such time and care to really get to know us, and wrote a ceremony so beautiful and personal, it surpassed all possible expectations! The ceremony itself was conducted beautifully, and on the morning she took time to visit and make sure we were feeling ok, which was such a lovely touch. During the ceremony I struggled with my vows as I was quite emotional (and it was SO warm!) And she managed the situation with poise and made sure I was ok and ready to try again, it meant so much to know she had our best interest at heart and she was with us every step of the way, with no pressure to rush through at all. In the time we've been planning her kindness has shone through, and now she truly is a friend as well as our wonderful celebrant. I am forever grateful for her being one of our suppliers, it means so much to look back at our wedding day and have such incredible memories of a ceremony that really was "us" through and through. We also had such lovely comments from our guests (and even a few suppliers that were there!) About how beautiful the ceremony was and how lovely it was to learn about us as a couple and hear our story, with some saying it felt so intimate and emotional to be involved in such a personal ceremony. Thank you so much Kelly, you're absolutely amazing and we just can't thank you enough for all you have done for us, you truly made it so worth the wait xx
