- Are you considering a ceremony which is personalised, fun, memorable and is as unique as you are? With an Independent celebrant, the ceremony is created and written based on your personal beliefs and choices. As the Law of England and Wales is still archaic, independent celebrants are not authorised to do the legal marriage registration, so all of my clients register the legal element a few days earlier. ( In Kent this is currently £46, takes 10 minutes and requires 2 witnesses). However, this means that your ceremony can be held absolutely anywhere, at any time and there are no rules or restrictions on the wording, music choice or content of your wedding ceremony. Karina at Simply Ceremonies will work with you to create your perfect ceremony. This may be as traditional or non-traditional as you want and can include cultural traditions, religious readings or quotes from Lord of the Rings! Karina has been in the wedding industry for a long time and works with lots of other wedding professionals. She has presented ceremonies at many of Kent's top venues including Lympne Castle, Westenhanger castle, Hythe Imperial hotel, The Thatched barn at Farthingloe, The Red barn at Capel Le Ferne, St Augustines Priory, Bilsington and Swarling Manor. Karina is also experienced in outdoors weddings and has created ceremonies for couples who have wanted to use woodland, beaches, fields and back gardens. Karina will also travel if required and has worked at Craig y nos Castle in Wales and the RAF Club in Mayfair, London. If you are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and passionate celebrant, please contact Karina at Simply Ceremonies today on 07970 513715 or by emailing email@example.com

What is your most memorable wedding?
All of my weddings have been different and therefore memorable, however, one which stands out was a wedding at Lympne castle for an Australian Athiest bride and an American, Jewish groom. This wedding was a test of my research skills and was the perfect Non-religious ceremony with Jewish cultural elements. Great fun!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Friendly, Creative, Fun, Passionate, Enthusiastic,
What about your business are you most proud of?
In my first year of trading, I was chosen to create 25 wedding ceremonies plus baby naming, vow renewal ceremonies and 10 Funerals. I was also runner-up at the Kent Women in Business awards for Start-up businesses
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Research your wedding suppliers. Ask for examples of work, testimonials and if you can meet them in person before you book....then do.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One wedding I created involved 6 sets of guests to stand up during the ceremony to give their tips for what makes a great marriage. This involved parents who had been married for 40 years aswell as friends with only 6 months experience. It was very emotional, yet incredibly funny.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I normally meet the couple over coffee as it's very important that we like each other as the ceremony is incredibly personal to create. After I am booked, I use a detailed questionnaire regarding the whole day which includes ideas, personal information and wishes/requests. I research, create & write the ceremony including everything the couple send me to include, prior to issuing the wedding script for their approval. I offer a rehearsal as part of my inclusive fee and provide all readings and vows on printed card along with a keepsake folder which includes the final script and a certificate which can be dinged and witnessed.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
I was asked to include a child-naming ceremony for the couples 3 little tots within the main wedding ceremony. So this involved bridesmaids, best men and God parents plus 3 little ones who were dressed as fairies running around the ceremony room.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
I build a strong relationship with my couples and arrive at least 45 mins before the wedding is due to start so I can de-stress my couples and make sure everything is ready.
What do you love most about your job?
Where do I start? I just love weddings! I have been married for 27 years and can remember the day as if it was yesterday :)
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
Introducing the couples as Mr and Mrs XX for the very first time.
