Heart of Pembrokeshire Ceremonies Full Description
Celebrating your love is such a special occasion and it is important that this day it is perfect for you, as a celebrant I can create with you a ceremony that reflects you as a couple. We would work together to create your perfect day whether this is a simple ceremony that focuses on the promises and vows you have chosen to make to one another, or a ceremony that embraces all the family. You may have be thinking about a wedding with a twist and want to put your own unique stamp on it, or want to renew your vows or say your 'I do's' with family and friends if you married abroad. You may also just want a simple blessing or commitment ceremony to declare your love for one another, or be looking for something a bit more traditional with a Handfasting Ceremony that truly symbolises 'tying the knot'. We would discuss all of this together, while I personally write your ceremony for you down to each and every word, from the first time that you saw one another, to that first kiss, and to the first day of the rest of your lives together making sure it is, 'Your Ceremony, Your Way'. If you have questions or would like a bit more information or would like to have a chat to see how I can help please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Sarah
I became a celebrant when I realised I could help families and couples have the ceremony they truly wanted. A ceremony that was focused around them and written for them without any restrictions. I love being able to create ceremonies that reflects my couples so they have their perfect day. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they are saying their 'I do's' is my favourite part of the ceremony as you see how much they mean to one another & that is the reason we are there.

Sarah is Superb!
Sarah is one of the most genuinely warm, sincere and helpful people you could meet. We employed Sarah to be our Civil Celebrant for our renewal of vows and were so happy with our choice. Sarah had so many ideas, that we hadn't even thought about, based on what we told her about ourselves as a couple. Nothing was too much trouble, which is high praise considering how much of a perfectionist I am! Our day was even better than we had expected it to be and was easily one of the best days our lives. Thank you Sarah (Wickham Civil Ceremonies), you are a star!

Wedding Ceremony
We just wanted to say thank you so much for all your hard work leading up to the ceremony! It was wonderful to have you there with us on the day and thought you did a fantastic job. You kept us calm and gave us a chance to build a ceremony which was uniquely ours. We could not have asked for anything better. Thank you as well for the cat book - it's hilarious and we love it!

What is your most memorable wedding?

An outdoor wedding when the weather was not co operating, the wind was blowing & the rain was lashing down, but regardless of weather we were there to celebrate two very special people so we changed our layout slightly and moved the balloon release a bit closer and at the end of the ceremony the bride and groom still had a big smile on their face, as did their family and friends. It was a very happy, memorable occasion and just goes to show the day is made by the people who are there, not the weather.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Friendly, positive, organised, relaxed, happy.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Being able to give couples a day that they will remember for a lifetime.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Enjoy organising your wedding as a couple and don't worry if there is something you don't agree on, you will find the right answer for you. There is a reason that you are getting married because you do work together and support one another, and planning your wedding no different to working out the compromises that we encounter in life.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

My favourite personal touch was when I had a Handfasting ceremony where my couples children tied the knots for the ceremony. It made the Handfasting so personal to them and showed that my couple were renewing their vows not just as couple but as a family.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I like firstly to meet or speak with my couples so I can find out about the type of ceremony they would like, and also give them the chance to get to know me as it is very important that they are happy and relaxed with their celebrant. After this I will meet with them to start putting the ceremony together getting a good idea of what they would like to include, their love story and how we can make sure the ceremony reflects them in every way. I can then start writing the ceremony keeping in touch with my couple to make sure are happy with everything. I will always try to have a final catch up with my couple just to make sure everything is in place before the big day.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

A whisky toast during the ceremony with the bride and grooms favourite whisky.

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

Being there to support and talk through any worries the bride and groom may have and letting them know that even if the day not go fully to plan it will be perfect because they will be there together, as a couple, standing side by side celebrating their love.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing the smile of my couples faces when they are saying their vows and their 'I do's', its really the highlight of the day for me as you can see how much they mean to each other and that is why we are there. As as I once read, 'Three little letters, two little words, its the simplest part of the day but there is nothing simple about what it means'.

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

When we did a round robin of the Owl and the Pussycat, all the guests got to read a line which lead to some very funny moments and had everyone laughing.
