William Freeman Celebrant and Toastmaster Full Description
Wedding couples tell me that my services provide more than ‘traditional’ wedding toastmaster functions (making announcements, introducing speakers and so on). You can see comments on my websites. No pomposity; you are the 'stars' of your day, not me! My services are dedicated to you from the moment of contact to the end of your special day. As your wedding toastmaster, I will give you the right balance of formality, tradition and pure fun. Planning a wedding (and taking part!) is very exciting – but it can also be stressful. I aim to remove that stress so you can relax and enjoy being with your family and friends. I offer a modern approach which can include a wider range of duties than you might imagine. I am there to make sure things run exactly as you planned them. The ceremonial red tailcoat is still a main feature (I can, of course, wear less formal looking outfits if you prefer). I 'll perform all the traditional customs you might want, such as: Welcoming guests, handling presents, getting people to where they need to be, making announcements, helping your photographer, hosting the cake-cutting ceremony, introducing (and reassuring!) your wedding speech-makers, keeping your guests involved and, if appropriate, announcing the first dance. As an ex-children's entertainer, I will help this young generation feel involved and have a memorable time. As your wedding celebrant, , I will give you the ceremony in the style you want it, where you want it and at the time you want it: You choose the venue - home, garden, beach, pub, marquee, boat, historic site, woodland, sports field, hot air balloon (on reflection, please don't pick that option!). You choose the timing - daytime, night-time, by candlelight or by moonlight. You can register your marriage quickly and cheaply at a registry office and then, sometime later, let me help you get the wedding ceremony you have dreamt of. I look forward to speaking to you.

William made our day extra special!!
We had a toastmaster at our wedding back in 1990, so in celebration of our pearl+ anniversary which to be honest was another wedding, it was a no brainer to do the same. we found William, who is an amazing celebrant. he kept our guests fully engaged during the renewal of vows with wonderful words and light humour. A quick change later and he became our Toastmaster, keeping everything flowing to time with a professional and engaging touch. Our whole day was absolutely perfect. Thank you William for helping to create a wonderful and memorable day. Your ability to make everybody feel at ease and relaxed demonstrated your experience , professionalism and overall talent. Thank you so much with love and appreciation, Mike & Faye

Wonderful Ceremonial and MC Skills
Thank you so much for your wonderful ceremonial and MC-ing skills on our wedding day. The day was everything we wanted it to be. The ceremony in particular, felt like it came to life after reading it on paper for so many months, and we thought it reflected Andy and myself so well and gave everyone a real sense of our love and commitment to each other. So, thank you so very much for enabling this. Everybody was so impressed by you and kept thinking we must have known you for years. So, I think that says something about the qualities you brought to the day, your professionalism, humour, enthusiasm and ability to make everyone feel at ease.

Frequently Asked Questions
(10)

What is your most memorable wedding?

The most recent. I always have good memories of my wedding events and the 'most recent' is usually in the forefront of my mind. I work hard to make sure my 'style' fits what bride and groom want. I follow up by making sure the bride and groom are totally happy with the service they received..

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

personable, humorous, calm, experienced, adaptable

What about your business are you most proud of?

Happy client reactions and feedback responses

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Plan the day to suit what YOU want (whilst considering other family members, of course). Don't let current uncertainties delay your planning; we can always adapt. Ask me.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Warm support for a nervous or tearful speechmaker

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We'll chat on the phone/ zoom (whatever suits) and in due course meet. If I am to be celebrant, I'll give an outline of the ceremony 'script' and we'll bounce it back and forth (with as much input from me as needed) until the couple are happy. As toastmaster (and celebrant too) I'll meet the couple at the wedding reception location and, together with location staff, make sure all the logistics are sorted. I'll give speech advice if wanted.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

Choreographed music performance (unknown to bride and groom) by wedding guests. Entrance of bride and groom by paddle board across lake! Getting Jude Law to join in Christmas song.

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

By being 'ahead of the game' and anticipating what should be happening every step along the way. Offering no financial penalty if 'Covid' rules force you to delay or transfer.

What do you love most about your job?

Plan your day in the format YOU want. Consider options before rejecting them.

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

Every moment is special. I don't have a single favourite one. Joy and laughter.
