Full Description
Kiki began designing in 1985 after recognising an opportunity to offer beautifully designed, timeless jewellery using precious gemstones that broke the conventions of traditional antique jewellery. Leading the way in modern fine jewellery design, Kiki believes that women should build a collection of wearable fine jewellery that can be enjoyed and loved every day. "Though my designs have varied in style, cost and composition over the years, I have always designed wearable and beautiful jewellery at an affordable price. It was this gap in the market that inspired me to start designing in the first place" The enduring success of Kiki McDonough is testament to her creativity and attention to detail. Kiki’s passion for colour, elegance and workmanship can be seen in every piece of Kiki jewellery. The brand offers accessible luxury and Kiki designs with every woman in mind, regardless of age or situation.

What is your most memorable wedding?

My most memorable wedding was set in stunning Santorini, the setting was exquisite, an incredible sea view with the warm sun shining over the wedding ceremony. The bride wore a beautiful understated chiffon gown and the groom wore a smart suite. The evening wedding party was lit by the incredible sunset and scattered candles. It was a beautiful intimate wedding, close family and friends.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Luxurious, Elegance, Colour, Wearable, Timeless

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am very proud to be in my 31st year of Kiki McDonough Ltd, I still and will always have a passion for colour, elegance and creating exceptional pieces of luxurious jewellery. It is always wonderful to see my customers enjoy wearing my creations.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Really focus on what you love as a couple, enjoy the memories you will make during planning your beautiful wedding day.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I really enjoyed the guest place cards, each card had a sentimental fact about bride and grooms relationship, i.e how they met, their most memorable moment etc...

Describe your typical process with a couple.

It is usually the bride who comes into the shop and describes their wedding gown and how it fits in with the style of the couples wedding. I will then recommend lots of stunning pieces of jewellery that will compliment her gown. It is always wonderful to own a piece of jewellery that not only can be worn on her wedding day but also on special occasions to remember the wonderful memories. The fiance may also want to come into the shop on a separate occasion to choose a piece of jewellery that the bride can wear for the evening section of the wedding or during their honeymoon as an extra surprise.
