- With over 15 years experience of making wedding rings Roz from Rosalyn's Emporium is well placed to teach you to make your own. The experience day is aimed at a beginner level so ideal for all couples who love the idea of hand making their own or partner's wedding ring. Roz will guide you through each step using a silver sample ring to demonstrate on, allowing you to try each technique before applying to your own wedding ring. You can make wedding rings directly in 9ct, 18ct, yellow, white or rose gold or silver. Platinum or palladium wedding rings will be made by you in silver first & then cast in your chosen metal after the experience day. Engraving, stone setting, black or white rhodium plating are all additional extras. During the experience day there is normally time to make up to 4 bridal party gifts such as pendants or cuff-links. If you want to make something else please do ask for advice & it will be accommodated if possible. Following a consultation with Roz you will be provided with a quote tailored to your specific needs & budget. Included in the experience day rate is one-to-one tuition, one silver sample ring, 20-30 photos of you making the rings, one leather ring box, light refreshments, a bottle of champagne & locally hand-made chocolates to take home & enjoy at your leisure. In addition to the experience day rate is the cost for the materials to make your wedding rings & any additional extras or bridal party gifts you wish to make. Refer to Rosalyn's Emporium website for current cost examples & experience day rate. If you don't fancy making them yourself Roz offers a bespoke jewellery service for wedding rings & other jewellery pieces. She also has her own ready-to-wear collections available so ideal for extra gifts. Rosalyn's Emporium is based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. Conveniently Chesham is at the end of the Metropolitan tube line if travelling via London & a short distance from the M1, M25 & M40 if travelling by road.

What is your most memorable wedding?
It has to be my own of course. Our wedding day was relaxed with a lot of details hand-made by ourselves or family & this reflects in our handmade engagement & wedding rings which I made for us. I've since altered my husbands wedding ring twice & my own once so I like to think they keep up with our growing & changing relationship. Maybe we will add to them still in years to come...

What about your business are you most proud of?
Booking 3 couples at my very first wedding fair & 2 of them coming back to me for further bespoke jewellery commissions after making their wedding rings with me. Their wonderful reviews made me realise I was really on to something special within a huge wedding market & had found my perfect career at last.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't be afraid to do your own thing & don't get swept up in what you think you should do

A previous couple who made their own wedding rings with me secretively wrote down what they wanted engraved on the inside of their partners wedding ring. It was the same message.

What is your favourite proposal story?
My own.... my husband proposed with a little charm ring so that I could design & make my own engagement ring. The perfect option for a jeweller don't you think? 10 years later I have given my engagement & wedding rings a revamp & still plan on adding to them in the future so really they are a work in progress.
