The more details, information and imagery you can give you supplier(s) the easier it will be for them to envisage exactly what you want for your special day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love it when there are little touches like advice cards that guests can write for the bride and groom to post in a cute little post box, for the newly weds to read after the wedding day. I also love fun little props that can be used in casual photos, it just adds that little bit extra happiness/humour to the wedding day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First I get as much detail as I can about the wedding stationary, this way I know that the quote is going to be perfect so there is no hidden surprises later down the line. Once they are happy wit the quote I get to know them by asking a series of questions about their relationship. Once I get an understanding of who they are and what they are after I do a digital mock up of their designs. Once they are happy I send them to print, once they arrive I arrive I add any accessories to them that they might want and then post them. This is a 1-2 week process so mu turn around is quite quick. It's nice that I have stayed in contact with most of my clients after I have finished their designs, I have gained friends from this process.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
The most important piece of stationary is the actual invitation as it give the guest all the information they need about the day, and this is the first piece of design to give the invited guest the wow factor and the first taste of what the theme is.
What is your best seller?
My best sellers seem to be ones with belly bands and gold/silver leaf on. They look professional and the belly band finishes the design off just nicely.
How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?
By getting to know the couple I am working with, because to me they aren't a number or money, they are people I want to get to know and who have trusted me to design their stationary for their special day.
