Relax and enjoy the wedding planning process!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I was asked to create wedding invitations that were worded from the couples 2 young children which asked guests to 'come and watch Mummy and Daddy get married'. It was very sweet and moving.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I will meet with them to discuss the vision for their wedding and get an understanding of their style and theme and I will show them my invitation designs and discuss options. After the meeting I will prepare hard copy samples of the stationery. If they wish to go ahead I will send an order confirmation, together with final proofs, and request a deposit payment to secure their order. It takes 2 to 4 weeks to make the invitations which will either be hand-delivered, if they are local, or sent by courier. Approximately 6 weeks before their wedding I will contact them to obtain their seating plan and order of service details to enable me to complete and deliver them 2 weeks before their wedding. I will always include a Wedding Card with every order.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
The actual invitation as this details, where and when the wedding is!
