What is your most memorable wedding?
Tough question, there have been many! But I think I'll have to say my own wedding, 12 years ago. It's how I got into designing wedding stationery :)
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Rustic, eco, vintage, floral, boho.
What about your business are you most proud of?
My customer service - I love what I do and love dealing with clients, answering questions, putting their minds at rest, even being an agony aunt sometimes! Wedding planning can be stressful so whatever I can do to make this part of the process stress-free and enjoyable is of paramount importance to me.
I'm also proud that my business is eco-friendly. I choose to use recycled card/envelopes not only because it's kinder to the environment but it is beautifully textured and has a lot of character. Please feel free to order a free sample -- you'll see what I mean :)
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
This is your day, so do it your way! x
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A little photo display remembering/honouring lost loved ones that you wish could be there is a special touch.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
If you are interested in placing an order the first thing I offer is a no-obligation quotation which will detail what's included, delivery times, payment details etc, and I will answer any questions/queries you may have. I will then send you a free sample. If you would then like to place a bulk order I will ask you for your wedding information/text along with a deposit. Then within 2-working days I will email you high-resolution proofs to for you to check for any errors/typos etc. Any textual amendments are carried out free of charge and amended pdf proofs are emailed to be checked again. Once you have approved your proofs, the balance can be paid and your finished order will be delivered via 1st class recorded delivery within 2-3 weeks thereafter. Shorter turnarounds can be offered for urgent orders. At any point during the process, from enquiry up until delivery (and afterwards) you are very welcome to get in touch if you have any query - no matter how small. I am always at hand if you need any advice or a chat about anything you may be concerned with - via email or over the telephone.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
It's difficult to pin it down to one item, but if I have to I'd say the invitation. It gives guests an exciting glimpse of what it is to come, and it's something you can really inject your personalities into.
What is your best seller?
My rustic 'Boho' floral and 'Ticket' style designs are doing pretty well at the moment, but I'm getting lots of bespoke requests too which are always nice to do :)
What is the most innovative delivery method you have come across?
I always use Royal Mail first-class recorded delivery - not the most innovative but I find it to be the most reliable. Or customers always have the option to pick them up in person if they live close by :)
How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?
My stationery is illustrative (I'm a graphic designer) so I use a lot of watercolour imagery and I'm obsessed with fonts!
