Ruth Kaye Design was born from a very small home operation by Ruth Kaye herself. With her strong eye and ability to create, together with her education in graphic design, the home operation would fast become a success.
Several years on Selfridges approached Ruth to open a retail design studio for bespoke stationery within their store, an opportunity not to be missed, and the turning point in the story where Ruth Kaye Design truly comes to life.
Building on the strength of reputation past, and the new location of the extraordinary Selfridges, known for their luxury brands and ultimate shopping experience, Ruth Kaye Design opened their doors to the high-end, niche clientèle of central London. With a triumphant combination of hard work and innovative designs, Ruth Kaye Design quickly rose to become the ultimate purveyor of luxury invitations and stationery.
After 7 gruelling years of hard work, design expertise, and with Presidents to pop stars commissioning their stationery, Ruth Kaye Design had out grown its roots. Needing to expand to their own premise, they opened their doors to the public in 2007, from their new design studio in the eminent Primrose Hill.

Crafting award-winning stationery for every occasion, from save the date correspondence right through to table plans, place cards, menus, candles, napkins, goody bags, and so much more, whilst specialising in weddings and correspondence cards as the most popular requests. They continually manage to bring a chic and sophisticated edge to all they produce, leaving a taste of excitement for the lucky recipients and setting the tone for the event like no other. Describe your typical process with a couple.
You will meet your personal designer and account manager either at our studio, a different agreed location or via email or conference call to discuss your event and required stationery.
In the meeting we will work on designs and potential options for the stationery. We will look at past examples we have produced, as well as looking at different stocks to see weights and colour options, along with print techniques available.
By the end of the meeting we will either arrange to meet again if further samples or designs need to be seen to allow us to finalise the details, alternatively if no further meetings need to be had at this point, please allow us time to put together a quote based on the discussed stationery. The quote will usually be emailed to you within 2 working days of meeting. Depending on the complexity of the design, it can take longer, but you will be kept fully up to date by your account manager if this is the case.
We meet again if required, if this is not needed, you approve the quote in writing or over the phone and we move to the next stage.
