What is your most memorable wedding?
Our own!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Fun, Colourful, Vibrant, Rustic Boho, Unique
What about your business are you most proud of?
Making people happy - Nothing makes us more proud than seeing huge smiles on our couples and their guests' faces. Helping to create moments like that resonates deeply with us as to why we started Hello Tuk Tuk.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take time out! Know that some of the best memories you will have from your Big Day will be unplanned but that’s what life together is about. Don’t get distracted by being perfect, always be present in each other, laugh through the mishaps and look forward to the next glorious moment you take together.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
When the Grooms parents sang a duet as their wedding speech - very very cool!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We discuss via phone or email necessary logistical details before moving onto the fun stuff especially if a couple has a fond tuk tuk connection/story which helps us try to incorporate that into their tuk tuk experience somehow whether that be a hashtag sign, themed photobooth props etc. We then typically check in with a couple a few months before and also in the week prior to the wedding to confirm details as we feel its reassuring for the couple to know we have everything in hand so they need only concentrate on having a good time!
What is the most original entrance you have given to a wedding couple?
Mariachi Band!!!! Couldn't get la-la-bumbah out of our heads for weeks!
What is your dream car and why?
Obviously the humble yet might tuk tuk! However if having to choose a non-tuk tuk vehicle, then...
Alex says "he's quite partial to a Jaguar e-type, classic Mercedes convertible or an Indian Classic - The Ambassador. Couldn't just pick one! Can I have all 3?!"
Lilah says "a Mahindra Jeep as I've never been in vehicles that can be so run down but could take so much crap thrown at it! To be fair I did nearly fall out the back of one as it turned a corner on a mountain edge in Northern India because the door popped open but hey, that's what adventures are made of!"
What would be your No. 1 tip for arriving in style?
Argh such a hard question! We've had confetti tunnels, drummers, dancers, the infamous Mariachi band....we would say anything that makes the entrance all about you guys!
What is your favourite movie car chase?
Every car chase in Wacky Races!
