Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel Full Description
The name Coed-Y-Mwstwr refers to the whispering sound of the woods that surround this gorgeous place. But this venue is no shy wallflower: inside and out, you’ll find charming backdrops that offer the perfect foil for any wedding celebration. From period rooms to wild woods, fireside to formal gardens, it offers some magical settings for your big day. The Elliot Suite is a light and gracious space is impossible to forget, with its wonderful domed ceiling, Arts and Crafts style beams and cornicing and glistening, classical chandeliers. It’s an enchanting, intimate space for your ceremony and can seat 20 to 50 guests for a wedding breakfast. The Hendre Suite is perfect for larger weddings and is a glamorous, contemporary option. Wide, glazed doors make the most of the views across the luscious landscape, bringing the outside in. And with its own bar, patio and lounge, it’s extremely versatile, too. It offers a sumptuous space for 50 to 170 guests. The Folly is our latest space, for up to 100 guests: a dazzling 360° glasshouse with a retractable roof. If you’d love to get married outside but don’t want to gamble with our lively Welsh weather, then this offers the perfect solution. You needn’t choose between indoors or outdoors – you can have both.

Amazing wedding, exceeded all expectations.
Such a beautiful venue and the staff are really well organised. Paul in particular coordinated the day really well and kept us informed of everything before and during. The food got a lot of compliments! A lot of people also said it was the best wedding they have been to. The venue and staff no doubt contributed to that great compliment in so many ways. We stayed for 2 nights, the night before, and the night of the wedding. The atmosphere and ambience was brilliant. If we could go back and do it all again we wouldn’t change anything, I really reccomend going to see the venue for yourself and speaking to the staff and you can see the magic for yourself. Thanks again for a day we will never forget. We will be back for food and a stay soon!

The perfect wedding venue
I have photographed weddings at Coed y Mwstwr for the past 15 years! Even had my daughters wedding here back in 2013. It's a stunning venue, excellent food, friendly professional staff and a pleasure to photograph a wedding here. With the addition of the outside 'Folly' its now the perfect wedding venue in any weather.

We will definitely return
We booked a one night stay for our nephew’s wedding. The hotel is located in beautiful grounds and it was lovely to walk into a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We especially liked the fact that the hotel catered extremely well for our six year old granddaughter who suffers from coeliac disease. We are usually very wary about eating out but her food was delicious and more importantly it was safe for her to eat. Thankfully she was fine with no illness. We are more than happy to recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Thank you for making our wedding day perfect!
We wanted to send you a massive thank you for giving us the best day ever for our wedding. We had always known that we would want to get married at the Coed-Y-Mwstwr, but your team made it even more special than we could have imagined. The events team were so organised, polite, professional and really went out of their way to ensure our day was perfect. We have had so many comments about what an exceptional venue the Coed is, and also how efficiently it is run. The team on the day were brilliant

A simply wonderful winter wedding
Beautiful venue for our winter wedding. The staff were friendly, professional, helpful and communicated extensively throughout the planning process - every detail was considered and executed to a tee, meaning that in the end our big day ran smoothly. Catered well for allergies and dietary requirements, and the food was fantastic with great feedback from our guests.

The most perfect wedding venue
Our stay at Coed-Y-Mwstwr was amazing. The hotel is a fantastic great wedding setting. Every single member of staff both front of house and behind the scenes were fabulous nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was polite and friendly and available when needed. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The meals were awesome and hot even for our large wedding party. The venue has so many different rooms to sit and chill or mingle with friends and family. Stunning views and fabulous decorations for Christmas. Cannot fault anything. Thank you

Describe the best wedding that happened at Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel?

Ooo, that's a tough one as they are all amazing but it has to be one of our summer weddings just after the release of restrictions. From the night prior to the morning of departure, it was just one big party! The majority of wedding guests were travelling from a far, so to see these guests reunite after such a long and emotional period was something that can only be described as magical! Not a mask in sight, arms wrapped firmly around each other (whilst the other hand was accompanied by a glass of bubbly) mixed with laughter and excitement was the perfect recipe for the start of a big wedding weekend. The theme was just white, pure, elegant WHITE. From white floral tree's to petals and hurricane vases during the ceremony to white starlight drapes and dancefloors - just WOW.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Remember, the most important people that matter is you TWO.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Our favourite personal touch, has to be the Cake reveal. Bride & Groom had both designed each half of their wedding cake and was releaved on the day. It was a mix between Marvel & Pets.

Describe Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel in 5 adjectives

Now your asking, how do we describe your dream venue in only 5? Inviting, Picturesque, Classically Elegant, Atmospheric, Romantic.

Where’s the best photo spot at Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel?

Being a picturesque venue, it is so difficult to pick just one spot! A couple of our favourites are in front of the Country House, this makes for a beautiful backdrop to that big group photo! Then, our woodland areas are the perfect setting for those more intimate couple photos! Just Incredible!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel?

We had the pleasure of welcoming Nick Knowles! Safe to say, we did not ask him to fix anything during his stay!

What’s your favourite canapé?

Ooooo, we have so many!! Its a tough one, between Crispy Coated Camembert and Mini Cottage Pies.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Has to be a mini fish & chip cone!

What is Coed-Y-Mwstwr Hotel most unique feature?

Very cliche, however our team. We would be nothing without eachother and being a family run business this shines through in everything we do here.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

The development of our property.
