The venue itself is beautiful and scenic! The staff are not so nice. They are rude and it’s like you are beneath them when communicating. When we first checked in (the night before the big day) my mothers room was the other side of the building on the top floor. This was not practical as I was getting ready in her room and needed to be back and forth.
When I went to set up my tables for the day, they wasn’t even made and was flat packed against the wall. I had discussed with the wedding co-ordination of my wishes and she agreed this with me in advance. I then had to find a member of staff to do this for me, which was stressful! The staff seemed reluctant to do this and like it was going out of there way.
The bar prices seemed to fluctuate on every order. Even when buying the same drinks all night. When you questioned this, they said the prices were correct as everything is computerised.
When leaving the function room to go to our rooms, the staff assured us that they would move all our decor and save everything for us. The next morning when I came to collect our things. The rest of my cake had been thrown away and all of my wedding favours. I didn’t even get to have a slice of my top tier of own wedding cake and didn’t to have my own wedding favours!
On checking out on the next day, my mother tried to complain about this. But when spoke to a manager he seemed uninterested and wasn’t prepared to apologise or doing anything to resolve our issues.
I am disgusted about everything listed above! Ruined my very special day! Will not be returning and will not recommend to anyone.
