Full Description
Kentwell Hall is one of England’s finest Tudor houses, developed in stages between about 1500 and 1578. To reach Kentwell you will drive 3/4 mile along an avenue of Lime trees. The house is fully moated and reached by two original bridges. The house is not a stately home but a very much lived-in and loved family home, something it has been for over 500 years. For the past thirty years we have hosted many events from outside 'festival' weddings using our Rustic Barns in the Barnsword area, to more formal days; including the ceremony, reception with a three course wedding breakfast followed by an evening celebration. In the main house, The Great Hall can seat up to 120 guests, followed by drinks reception in the State Rooms or on the Cedar Lawn. Dining is in the Oak beamed ‘Overcroft’ that can seat up to 160 guests and is fully licensed. We use produce from our farm and garden whenever possible or source it locally. Kentwell Hall can sleep up to 28 guests, in Hall Barn, that sleeps up to to 14, The Grooms Cottage that will sleep 4 and there are 2 double bedrooms in the main house with four poster beds. Because all our wedding are bespoke to our couple's individual requirements we do not offer a set package price, and we welcome you to come and view all the area's we have to offer and to discuss your wedding idea's.
