We recently had a wonderful, intimate candlelight evening ceremony at The Alverbank Hotel. The attentive staff went above and beyond throughout the preparation ensuring our requests were met. The decorations were stunning, and the food delicious. The venue's charm and attention to detail created a magical atmosphere, leaving us with cherished memories. Most highly recommended for those seeking a romantic and personalised experience.

The whole team led by Claire helped to create a special day for us all. There was nothing the team couldn’t do and was all delivered with enthusiasm and positivity. The food, location and running of that day was perfect. We honestly could not recommend Claire and the alverbank team any higher. Best decision we made!

Claire and the team at the Alverbank were top class, and truly made our wedding special, nothing was too much trouble and all guests commented on the amazing food and hospitality. They helped bring our dream wedding to life and, even when the weather took a turn last minute, saved the day and gave us the most perfect day we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. The Alverbank truly is a hidden gem and we’d recommend a wedding with them to anyone. We couldn’t have asked for more.

The Alverbank were kind enough to host our wedding last month and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From our very first meeting, Claire and the team were incredibly helpful, accommodating, and friendly, and took so much stress away from planning our day. They could not have done any more for us, exceeding our expectations in every single way possible. The chef at the Alverbank (Jack) is incredible - his food is honestly the best around and we have eaten here so many times now it's honestly my favourite place to go. To have him cater our wedding was a privilege and it was the most memorable and exquisite meal - Jack made suggestions and amendments to our choices which levelled them up to such a top tier choice, and it was perfect. The Alverbank went to great lengths to make our day perfect - even setting up the tables and function room completely for us and so much better than we could ever have done! It was such a surprise to be able to walk into our wedding reception and see such a beautiful set up and made it so special for us both. Not only the wedding, planning, meals, and hospitality, the accommodation at the venue is simply amazing. The honeymoon suite is most probably the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in, and that includes our 5-star hotel for honeymoon itself in Devon. It is stunning. The views are incredible, yet it feels private, luxurious, and comfortable. I could have stayed there for weeks!! Our wedding was absolutely MADE by the team at the Alverbank. From the meal the night before, the breakfast the morning after, and the extra touches they made on the day (I noticed the tea lights and added chalk signs, the gift table, and how you coordinated the day so effortlessly, even though you did nothing to boast about these elements) - we are eternally grateful. The venue and team will hold a special place in our hearts forever more. Thank you for everything.

We are so thankful to Claire at The Alverbank and her team for looking after us from the moment we visited the hotel for the first time to the wedding day. Every time we had a meeting with Claire we felt so welcome and reassured that it took so much stress away. Claire really knows what she is doing! The hotel really felt like our home for the weekend of the wedding and the staff an extension of our family! What a special team of people, I am so grateful for the service Claire and the whole team provided.
